For Sunday night’s football we’ve found five value picks in the four games from Groups C, H and J. Northern Ireland host Finland in Belfast while Malta entertain Italy. Portugal put four past Liechtenstein in their opening game and travel to Luxembourg while Slovakia take on Bosnia in Bratislava.

Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland beat San Marino 0-2 in their opening Group H game while Finland lost 3-1 away to Denmark. The hosts have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five while at home have won one, drawn two and lost two, scoring four while conceding five.
Finland have lost three and drawn two of their last five. On their travels they’ve won one, drawn two and lost two, scoring five and conceding seven. With both teams rarely keeping a clean sheet, Both Teams to Score has the value here.
Malta v Italy

Italy are very much the favourites here. Malta won’t prove to be a great threat in Group C and the Italians should easily dispatch of them. However, The Azzurri have only kept two clean sheets over their last six away games and two over their last six home/away fixtures.

Roberto Martinez’ Portugal easily dismissed Liechtenstein 4-0 on Thursday last with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging two goals. Joao Felix started but didn’t get on the scoresheet although he did come close on a couple of occasions. He’s been among the goals at Chelsea of late and we reckon he’ll be eager to get his name in lights on Sunday night after drawing a blank on Thursday.
Portugal -1
This Portugal side could really be something special. They were pretty impressive at the World Cup, beating Ghana and Uruguay. They lost to South Korea yes but fielded a B team since they’d already qualified. They smashed Switzerland 6-1 in the Last 16 and were desperately unlucky against Morocco in the quarter finals. Martinez’ biggest conundrum is fitting so many attacking players into a starting XI, Felix, Ronaldo, Rafael Leao, Goncalo Ramos and Diogo Jota.
This Luxembourg side conceded six goals over two games against the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland not too long ago, Portugal should walk this and easily win by two goals.
Slovakia v Bosnia
Bosnia to Win
Bosnia top Group J following their 3-0 victory over Iceland last Thursday. Slovakia could only draw 0-0 at home with Luxembourg and only managed to get three shots on target. The hosts have won none of their last six games and none of their last six at home as well. Bosnia, on the other hand have won four of their last six, drawing one and losing one and we can only see them extending their strong run against a home side very low on confidence.
