HAVEN’T A CLUE WHAT A BET BUILDER IS? WELL, LET OUR HANDY WHAT IS A BET BUILDER? GUIDE REVEAL ALL!
Wednesday night football has us looking for value in League Two where Mansfield host Grimsby, in international football, Ireland host Latvia where all eyes will be on Evan Ferguson and in the Women’s Champions League we have PSG hosting Wolfsurg and Chelsea travelling to Lyon. Let’s see where we can find some value in the markets.
Lyon v Chelsea
Over 2.5 Goals
TV: DAZN/ DAZN YouTube
Both teams have been very much among the goals of late, Lyon have scored a total of 14 over their last five and nine over their last five on home soil.
Chelsea have also scored 14 goals over their last five fixtures while on their travels have gone one better with 15. This Women’s Champions League Quarter-Final first leg should have Over 2.5 Goals written all over it.
Mansfield v Grimsby
Both Teams to Score
Both sides share the same recent results, winning two, drawing one and losing two over their last five fixtures. The hosts have also won two, drawn one and lost two on home turf of late, scoring 11 while conceding 10 while the visitors have won three and lost two on the road, scoring six and conceding six.
Both Teams to Score has a decent price here for those stats.
Ireland’s wonderboy Evan Ferguson will surely make his Ireland debut against Latvia on Wednesday night. The Co. Meath man is fresh from scoring a brace against Grimsby in the FA Cup, the first of which saw him channelling his inner Dennis Bergkamp, producing a beautiful piece of control to take a wayward pass down, taking one more touch to set up a deft touch into the bottom right corner.
The Brighton man has five goals for the Seagulls this season in league and cup competition and should he start here we fancy him to open his Ireland account.
Ireland -1
Latvia are pretty far down the UEFA coefficient rankings at 45, two places above Luxembourg who, you’ll remember, actually beat Ireland in Dublin around this time two years ago. Their results are good on the road, they’ve beaten over their last seven where they’ve won four and drawn three. However, only fixtures against Norway and Moldova of those seven saw them taking on top 40 teams.
Ireland at 22nd in the rankings and should have more than enough here, their home form is strong with three wins over their last five at Lansdowne Road where they’ve scored eight and kept two clean sheets. The Boys in Green will have a few players here trying to make a case for them to start against France next Monday night and they should have enough in the final third to win by two clear goals.
PSG v Wolfsburg
Over 3.5 Goals
TV: DAZN/ DAZN YouTube
PSG face Wolfsburg with a place in the semi-final against either of Lyon or Chelsea on the line. Both teams are in great shape – the Parisians have won seven of their last nine, drawing the other two, while the Wolves have won eight of their last 10, losing the other two.
The hosts have won seven in-a-row at home, scoring 11 while conceding two over their last five. The travelling side have won 15 of their last 16 on their excursions and have scored a mammoth 23 goals over their last five. We should see fireworks here so we’re backing Over 3.5 Goals.
