It’s the final week of the Premier League before the international break, and we’re looking in particular here at all of the Premier League action kicking off on Saturday afternoon in our eight-leg value-packed Bet Builder. We’re starting off at Villa Park where the hosts are entertaining Bournemouth.

Aston Villa Bournemouth

Aston Villa to Win

Since the arrival of Unai Emery, Aston Villa have been much improved. They’re still not great, it must be said, but they are looking more capable than they have in quite a long time. In fact, since his arrival they’ve taken 22 points from 15 games, only bettered by Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool. This should be a very manageable three points for the Villains to collect, even if Bournemouth are still riding high from their win against Liverpool last weekend.

Ollie Watkins to have 2 or more Shots on Target

Ollie Watkins has been in flying form, and had scored in five consecutive games until his run was cut short against Crystal Palace. But he scored again last weekend against West Ham in a draw and it would see he has a new lease of life playing for Emery in a style that absolutely plays to his strengths. Watkins is currently averaging a shot on target percentage of 52.3% and averaging 1.2 shots on target per ninety minutes played, factoring in the substantially weaker opposition in Bournemouth, we’re expecting him to have a field day.

Brentford vs Leicester

Over 2.5 Goals

Both sides here are liable to score goals but both are equally liable to concede goals too. Brentford and Leicester league games average 2.9 and 3.2 goals respectively. The shoe fits, and after a drab affair for Brentford last weekend against Everton, they found form again midweek facing Southampton and are back to their goal-getting ways. With both teams scoring and conceding plenty of late, Over 2.5 goals looks nailed on.

Ivan Toney to Score or Assist

Ivan Toney will be riding high after his call up to international duty. He’s either scored or assisted 20 goals this season in just twenty-four Premier League appearances. He’s certainly earned that England selection, and we expect him to show us more of his quality on Saturday afternoon.

Jamie Vardy, Leicester, 1-23

Southampton v Tottenham

Tottenham to Win

With a great win last weekend, Spurs are facing off against Premier League strugglers Southampton. This should be a fairly comfortable win for Tottenham as their opposition currently sit dead last in the league. Saints have only scored 20 goals in 27 matches so far this season, and have managed to concede 43. Poor Gavin Bazunu will feel like he’s in front of a firing squad all afternoon long.

Both Teams to Score, No

With all of Southampton’s attacking woes this season, partnered with Tottenham’s relatively decent defensive record for the season (they have the 11th best in the league), we’re liking the value in the Both Teams to Score, No market.

Wolves v Leeds

Over 1.5 Goals

This is another similar situation to the Brentford v Leicester match. Wolves’ games currently average 2.1 goals, and for games involving Leeds it’s just touching on 2.8 goals per game. Both sides are well mired in the negative goal differential which means we could end up with a high scoring affair. We’re going to take a more conservative approach with this one though, and back over 1.5 goals.

Patrick Bamford to have 1 or more Shots On Target

Patrick Bamford has only scored twice so far this season, but he’s also been limited in terms of game time thanks to injury. However, he did score last weekend against Brighton and that could be a turning point for the 28-year-old this season.

As Leeds battle relegation it’s timely that he does come into form now. He’s managed 13 shots on target for the season so far in just 28 attempts, and he should test Jose Sa in the Wolves net here.
