Sunday 8pm: Barcelona v Real Madrid
TV: Viaplay Sports 1 and LaLigaTV

Barcelona to Win

Barcelona have not beaten Real Madrid at the Nou Camp since November 2018 – a run of four games in all competitions – but they have won three of their last four games against their bitter rivals and can take a giant step towards the Spanish title with a win on Sunday night.

Barcelona have been excellent in the league this season, dropping just 10 points in 25 games so far. They are unbeaten at home in the league, winning 10 of their 12 games and taking 32 points out of a possible 36.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, have been less convincing domestically this season, despite their emphatic win over Liverpool in the Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are currently nine points off Barcelona and have not been the same team since the World Cup.

They have dropped 12 points since the World Cup – more than Barcelona have dropped all season – and simply have to win if they are to have any chance of retaining their title. However, it is hard to back against such a consistent Barcelona outfit winning, especially on their own patch.

Gavi to be Shown a Card

Whether it is putting his head in for a challenge on the ground or making impetuous fouls, Gavi is not afraid to throw his weight around. The 18-year-old has developed quite a reputation, picking up more yellow cards than any other Barcelona player this season.

He has also committed almost twice as many fouls as any other Barcelona player, averaging 2.3 fouls per game. Robert Lewandowski, who has committed the second-most fouls for Barcelona this season, have averaged just 1.2 fouls per game. Gavi is by far the most likely Barcelona player to be booked.

Raphinha Barcelona

Raphinha to Score Anytime

Robert Lewandowski’s remarkable goal-scoring rate has slowed down significantly in recent weeks, but fellow summer signing Raphinha has stepped up to the plate. Raphinha has provided the winner in each of Barcelona’s last two games, scoring in the 1-0 wins over Valencia and Athletic Bilbao.

He has scored seven goals in all competitions since the World Cup and was Barcelona’s best player in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United in the Europa League last month. He can continue to provide the necessary spark up front so it’s Raphinha to Score Anytime.

Vinicius Jr. to Have 1 or More Shots on Target

Vinicius Jr. is having a stellar season, scoring 19 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances for Real Madrid. He turned the tie against Liverpool on his head, scoring twice to haul Madrid level in the first leg at Anfield three weeks ago and has been one of their most important players this season.

He will likely have an impact during El Clasico and is likely to test Marc Andre Ter Stegen at least once. Vinicius averages 2.8 shots per game this season and always looks a threat whenever he plays. As such, Vini Jr is decent value to hit the target at least once in the Nou Camp.
