Betis to Win

Manchester United all but secured their place in the Europa League quarter-finals with a brilliant second half performance at Old Trafford last week in a 4-1 win, and will hope to avoid any injuries or suspensions in Seville.

However, there is still a small chance that Betis generate momentum and put United under serious pressure here, so Erik Ten Hag is unlikely to significantly change his starting XI. They have been excellent on home soil this season but have been less so on their travels, winning just two of five Premier League away games since the World Cup, and just six out of 13 away league games all season. 

Betis, meanwhile, have only won six of their 12 home games in La Liga but will be confident of causing United problems. They likely won’t have enough to overturn the three-goal deficit, but they can make life uncomfortable. 

Both Teams to Score

United kept four clean sheets in six games over their Europa League group stage games but have conceded in all three of their knockout games so far. They have managed just three clean sheets in 13 away league games this season, and have conceded in four of their five games against Spanish opposition this season. 

At the other end, United have been prolific, scoring in 30 of their last 32 games in all competitions, although they have failed to score in each of their last two Premier League outings. 

United have found a clinical edge under Ten Hag and proved last week that they are capable of ripping the Betis defence to shreds and should be able to cause significant damage on the counterattack. It stands to reason that both teams will score.

Marcus Rashford to Score Anytime

Marcus Rashford’s remarkable goalscoring rate has slowed down significantly in recent weeks, but that is hardly surprising. 

Rashford was scoring at such a remarkable rate that it was always going to be difficult to sustain that form for the rest of the season, but he still remains United’s biggest goal scoring threat by quite a distance. 

The England forward has scored 26 goals in all competitions, including five in the Europa League, making him the joint-top scorer in the competition. He has only scored twice in his last six games but scored a brilliant goal against Betis last week and can cause plenty of problems.

Under 9.5 Corners

Betis simply do not win many corners. Their average of 3.9 per game is the fifth-lowest in La Liga and they have not won more than five corners in any of their last 10 games in all competitions. 

United, on the other hand, rank among the lowest in the Premier League in terms of corners won, averaging just 4.1 corners per game. 

They won a total of eight corners against Betis last week but have only won 28 corners in seven away games in all competitions since returning from the World Cup, never winning more than five in a single game. It is incredibly unlikely that there will be 10 corners or more.
