Bayern Munich welcome PSG to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night for the second leg of their Last 16 Champions League tie. It’s very evenly poised then and both teams are very much back to their goal-scoring best of late. This has the making of a classic so we’ve gone through the stats to find the four best value best in the markets for a four-fold Bet Builder.

Over 3.5 Goals

This one certainly has the whiff of goals about it. Bayern Munich have scored at least two goals in six of their last eight games in all competitions while PSG can boast the same scoring record over six of their last eight fixtures. The hosts have scored 14 over their last five at home too while Kylian Mbappe & Co. have scored 15 over their last five on their travels.

Being 1-0 down from the first leg, PSG will have to score at least two to advance here and with Bayern back in great goal-scoring form we reckon we’re going to see at least four goals here.

Both Teams to Score in the First Half

The Parisians must take the initiative here and score early to make a go of this. Although just a goal down from the first leg they’ll know all too well that Bayern can score on any attack. PSG have scored seven first half goals over their last five fixtures and eight over their last five on the road.

Bayern love a first half goal too, they’ve scored an impressive six over their last five fixtures, nine over their last five home fixtures and eight over their last five home Champions League matches. With stats as strong as that we cannot refuse the value in the BTTS in the first half market.

Lionel Messi to Score Anytime

Lionel Messi has faced off against Bayern seven times in his career so far, he’s only been on the winning side twice however. He’s gotten four goals over those seven games and he’s been, as usual, in good goal-scoring form of late. 

Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain has netted three on his last three games for PSG and two over his last three away games. The pressure is on PSG to get something here and with a good record against Bayern we’re picking him to get one on Wednesday night.

Kylian Mbappe to Have 2 or More Shots on Target in Each Half

Mbappe endured a frustrating Valentine’s Day when Bayern came to Paris, he had the ball twice nestling in the back of Munich’s goal but was twice ruled offside. As mentioned above, PSG have little choice other than to go for broke here and need at least two goals from the off. 

Mbappe has averaged 3.1 shots per game in the Champions League this season, as well as 4.2 in Ligue Un. We’ve little doubt that the Parisians are going to come out of the traps with great eagerness here and with his pace and eye for a shot we think we’re getting some great value here for PSG’s top scorers to have at least one Shot on Target per half.
