FA Cup fifth-round: Sheffield United v Spurs
Wednesday, March 1
TV: BBC One (7:55pm)

After overcoming Hollywood dream team Wrexham in the fourth round replays, Sheffield Utd now have their sights firmly set on a rendezvous with Tottenham, as they welcome them to Bramall Lane on Wednesday night.

Will Tottenham be able to overcome the championship side who currently sit firmly in second place behind Burnley? Time will tell. But enough of that speculation, you’re here for a Bet Builder, and a Bet Builder you will get.

Tottenham to Win

Spurs will be in high spirits after their 2-0 victory over Chelsea at the weekend. Antonio Conte’s men are well organised and exciting to watch. Spurs should be more than capable of overwhelming the Blades with razor-sharp attacking moves, making the most of what Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Richarlison have to offer.

Sheffield United are a strong side at home, winning four of their last five fixtures at Bramall Lane but Spurs have won three of their last five against far stronger opposition and their experience should be the difference maker here so we’re backing them to do it over the 90 minutes.

Son Heung-Min to Score or Assist

Son is just an incredible player to watch, his chemistry with his team-mates, especially that formidable partnership with Kane serves to make him a threat both to score a goal, or to set one up.

His goal-scoring numbers might have taken a bit of a dip since last season when he managed to share Golden Boot honours with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah – but he remains a perpetual and viable threat any time he steps onto the pitch. Currently ranking in the 94th percentile in non-penalty goals, and having notched three assists on the season so far we fancy him to score or provide here.

Oliver McBurnie, Sheffield United

Anel Ahmedhodzic to be Shown A Card

Bosnian international Anel Ahmedhodzic has managed to get 10 yellow cards in just 24 appearances this season. He loves a good, hard tackle and is available in the Shown A Card market at great value.

Under the sustained pressure of the Spurs attack, we’d imagine he’ll get himself entangled in something, most likely resulting in his name firmly being placed in referee Chris Kavanagh’s book.

Sheffield United to Receive the Most Cards

Relatively speaking, Tottenham have been fairly good at the ol’ give-and-take when it comes to getting booked, receiving a total of 54 bookings across all competitions, compared to 57 total bookings for all opponents playing against them this season.

Compare these figures with the Blades, who’ve somehow managed to be booked 77 times this season alone, and you can see our rationale behind this one. Add our pal Anel Ahmedhodzic into the mix, who gets booked almost every second game he plays, and well, this value pick should lock it in.
