Swansea to Win by Exactly One Goal

Swansea and Rotherham face off on Monday night as 15th hosts 20th in the Championship. Neither team are in form, with both sides managing just two wins between them in their last ten games in total.

While Swansea have struggled recently with Russell Martin’s men losing four of their last five, Rotherham’s away record makes them hard to back.

They’ve won just two of their 17 away Championship games this season, as well as scoring only ten goals in that period.

Swansea’s home form is average (won seven, drawn two, lost seven) but we’re siding with the Welsh side to edge it in a close affair.

Martin’s side aren’t worth getting behind at the odds so we’re going with Swansea to Win by Exactly One Goal.

Both Teams to Score

Out of form teams clashing could go one of two ways. You either get a snooze fest as both sides can’t create chances, or you get goals because mistakes happen when confidence is low.

We’re going with the latter.

Both Teams to Score has landed in three of Swansea’s last five Championship outings and they’ve conceded in each of those games. The selection has also been a success in two of Rotherham’s last three games.

Russell Martin Swansea

Over 2.5 Goals

We’re already on both teams to score so adding in Over 2.5 Goals makes plenty of sense.

Swansea’s league games average 2.9 goals and the Welsh side have the second highest amount of fixtures this season which has seen at least three goals. Rotherham’s matches, meanwhile, average 2.5 goals.

Four of Swansea’s last five outings have been Over 2.5 Goals, while two of Rotherham’s last three games have also landed.

Joel Piroe to Score Anytime

When looking at goalscorer bets for these two, Swansea’s Joel Piroe was the only real standout.

The 23-year-old has netted 11 Championship goals this season and he averages 3.3 shots per game.

He should have plenty of chances against a shaky Rotherham defence and we fancy him to put one of his efforts away.
