I actually want to be in London when all the Geordies come down, it’ll be carnage, I think it will be a lot of fun! They’re going to have time of their lives and I think it’s going to be a great occasion.

These Newcastle players can become legends, they can become immortalised. This is a club that wants success so badly and hasn’t had it for so long.

It’s going to be an incredible day

Clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool, even Manchester United might be turning their noses up at the Carabao Cup but for clubs like Newcastle and Spurs, who haven’t had a trophy for a while, it’s a huge thing, the day out and the chance to win a trophy.

If I was a Newcastle player I’d be incredibly excited, I wouldn’t feel pressure, I’d be up for the opportunity. There’s always the chance that the players get too over excited but Eddie Howe’s a calm manager, I don’t think he’ll allow his players to get overawed by the situation.

They’ve still got top international players in that dressing room like Kieran Trippier, it’s not like these guys haven’t played in huge matches before. Newcastle want it really badly and that will be a factor in this game.

Manchester United’s form at the moment is pretty sensational and Marcus Rashford’s banging them in every week. On the other side, I think losing Nick Pope is a blow for Newcastle, Loris Karius is not of the same standard.

It’ll be a huge day for Newcastle, it’s been far too long since they’ve had a day like this. It’ll be a fantastic watch but you have to fancy Manchester United.

I think Newcastle are ahead of schedule and they’re having an incredible season. Defensively they look so solid and they’ve got players who can hurt you. The Liverpool result was a bad one but I don’t think anyone expected them to be doing as well as they are. I don’t think they’ll tail off and it looks like a huge fight for 4th place.

The Toon Army would have bitten your hand off if you’d have told them they would be in a cup final and in the top four race

I do think Manchester United will lift the trophy on Sunday, as much as I want Newcastle United to do it. It’s a proper footballing city, proper footballing club, it’s a club that I would love to see win it, but my head’s ruling my heart here and I think Manchester United will win it.

I think there’ll be goals, I think there’s too much attacking talent on show for there not to be. Defensively Newcastle have been very good but Rashford’s on fire, Jadon Sancho’s in form and with Newcastle changing their keeper that could play a big part. I think it should be a good, entertaining spectacle.

Rashford’s improvement in form has been unbelievable. I just hope he can continue in this mindset. No-one’s ever doubted his ability and the only thing that has been doubted is his consistency. He seems to have really turned that around and I just hope he can keep it going for United and for England as well because he’s up there as one of the most in-form players in the world and it’s great to see.

Bruno Fernandes is so important, he makes Manchester United tick. He’s a player who fans will love to see doing his thing in the cup final and he’ll relish the big stage, just like the did against Barcelona on Thursday night.

It’s one of those games where you hope the referee is sensible and there’s no early sending off that kills the game. I can see a few cards but I don’t think it will be over the top.

The players will be fired up and both mangers will probably be trying to calm them down and to make them a bit more pragmatic. I like both managers a lot and I think they’ll have a good handle on their squads.
