Sunday 3pm: Rangers v Celtic – Scottish League Cup Final (Hampden Park)
TV: Viaplay Sports 1

Celtic to Win

Celtic and Rangers have both won nine consecutive games in all competitions since their 2-2 draw at the beginning of January, but there has been a huge difference in how they have won those games.

Celtic have pummelled every team they have played in the last two months, winning each game by at least two goals. Ange Postecoglou’s side have scored 31 goals in their last nine games, conceding just two.

Rangers, on the other hand, have had a lot more scares in the past two games, winning their League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen in extra time and beating Partick Thistle with a late goal in the Scottish Cup.

They have shown resilience and perseverance to win each of those nine games and just about stay in touch with Celtic in the title race, but Celtic are clearly a level above them at present and are rightly installed as favourites.

They are unbeaten in their last six games against Rangers and should extend that run to seven.

Over 2.5 Goals

Celtic and Rangers unsurprisingly boast the two best attacking records in Scotland, but once again, there is a considerable difference between the two sides.

Rangers have scored an impressive 61 goals in 26 games, but that figure is dwarfed by Celtic’s incredible record of 82 goals in the same number of games at a rate of over three per game.

They have scored a minimum of two goals in each of their last 13 games and there is a good chance that they will make it 14 games on the bounce.

However, Rangers have scored in each of their last seven games against Celtic outside of Celtic Park and average 2.5 goals per game in the league this season.

Celtic may need to score twice if they are to lift the trophy on Sunday.

Kyogo Furuhashi to Score Anytime

Kyogo has been in red-hot form for Celtic since the return of club football in December. The Japanese forward has scored nine goals in 11 league games since the World Cup, including a late equaliser at Ibrox last month.

He is Celtic’s top scorer in all competitions, scoring an impressive 22 goals in 34 appearances, double that of Liel Abada in second place.

Kyogo is by far the most likely player to get on the scoresheet at Hampden.

James Tavernier to Score Anytime

James Tavernier boasts remarkable goalscoring records for a full-back.

The Rangers captain has scored 95 goals in 387 appearances since joining Rangers in 2015, while he has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season, the second-best record of any Rangers player after Antonio Colak, who has hardly played since the World Cup.

Tavernier has scored four league goals since the World Cup and dispatched a penalty in the 2-2 draw against Celtic at the beginning of January. The majority of his goals may come from set pieces, but he is still an excellent price for someone who scores so regularly and is worth a punt.
