Ceuta v Barcelona – Over 3.5 Goals
While this is obviously a Copa del Rey match we just want to point out something. Barcelona are top of La Liga, Ceuta are bottom of the Group 1 of the Primera Federacion, so, in all there’s a distance of 81 teams between the hosts and the visitors. All hope for the hosts is not lost however, they recently drew 2-2 with Real Madrid’s B team in the third tier and knocked out Elche, who are bottom of La Liga, and two La Liga II teams, UD Ibiza and CD Utrera, in previous rounds of the competition.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
Barcelona have only kept three clean sheets over their last 11 away games so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that the hosts could score here. Their manager has been poking the bear too, having wee digs at Barcelona boss Xavi in the build up to this clash. The away side will still be high from their Super Cup victory over Real Madrid last weekend and have scored 11 over their last five and 12 over their last five away games. We’re going to see plenty of goals here so we’re backing Over 3.5 for a very decent price.
Man City v Spurs – Both Teams to Score, No Draw
TV: Sky Sports Premier League (8pm)
Man City are having their mid-season wobble, they’ve lost two back-to-back games now, drawing one and winning two over their last five. The last time City lost three games in-a-row was back in 2018 and two of them were those Champions League defeats to Liverpool. Their home Premier League form has seen them winning three, drawing one and losing one and they’ll be out for some revenge here thanks to an injury time Harry Kane goal last season that saw Spurs walking away with the three points.
The visitors have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five while on the road have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 11 while conceding seven, City have scored 11 and conceded five over their last five at home. With just four draws between them over their 18 home/away games we don’t see this one ending level, Both Teams to Score, No Draw has some good value here.
Juventus v Monza – Juventus to Win & Over 1.5 Goals
TV: Premier Sports 2 (8pm)
Juventus had been on a great run of eight wins from eight in the Serie A but that all came to a crashing halt on Friday last when Napoli humiliated the Old Lady 5-1 on home turf. An angry Old Lady is not something to be messed with and Monza could be in for a bit of a hiding here.
The hosts are undefeated at home in the Serie A this season, winning all five of their most recent matches to nil, scoring 13 unanswered goals. They’ve won seven of their last eight at home in all competitions. Monza have won two, drawn one and lost two over their five most recent away encounters. Juve should win this pretty easily but Monza have netted nine over their last five home/away games so we’ll take a wee bit of insurance here as we’re expecting a 2-0, 2-1 or above scoreline here, so we’re backing Juventus to win & Over 1.5 goals.
Villarreal v Real Madrid – Over 2.5 Goals
Villarreal are in decent shape coming into this Copa del Rey clash, they’ve won three and drawn two of their last five, winning one in Extra Time. On home soil they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one with Over 2.5 goals landing in four of those matches.
Real will be licking their wounds after their Super Cup final defeat to Barcelona last weekend, they’ve won two, drawn one (winning it on penalties) and lost two over their last five. On their recent travels they’ve won two and lost three with Overs being witnessed in three of those five, scoring eight and conceding eight. Overs is the obvious choice here with those stats.
