After a thrilling weekend of Premier League action, we’re diving into Monday night’s fixtures and we’ve put together a tidy four-fold acca.
The first game in focus is Empoli v Sampdoria in Serie A, which sees 14th host 18th.
Sampdoria have won just twice all season and they’ve lost four of their last five. They’ve also conceded nine times in that period.
They travel to Empoli, who have lost just once in their last five outings. They’ve drawn their last two on the road, however, they did face Lazio and Udinese.
We’re backing Empoli to Win against an out-of-form Sampdoria side to kick off our Monday night acca.
Next up is a League One showdown between Port Vale and Peterborough.
Vale are 12th in the league after winning their last three games 1-0, which have all been at home.
They host Peterborough, who have won two and lost two of their last four outings in League One.
Posh are sixth in the table having won eight of their 12 games, however, their away form is dismal. They’ve won just three on the road all season and their last away win came in October.
It will likely be a close affair but there seems to be value in backing Port Vale to Win.
We’re now heading to Spain for Cadiz v Elche in La Liga, which sees bottom and second bottom face off.
Elche are rock bottom of the table and they’re still searching for their first win of the season after 16 games (drawn four, lost 12). They’ve also conceded 34 times in those outings.
While Cadiz’s form isn’t great this season (won three, drawn six, lost seven), they should still have enough to get past a Elche side struggling for confidence. Cadiz to Win makes sense.
Finally, we’re in Portugal for Gil Vicente v Guimaraes in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
Guimaraes are sixth and Gil Vicente are 16th, however, both sides are struggling to find form.
Both teams have won just three of their last ten games combined so instead of picking a result, we’re looking at the goals market.
Gil Vicente’s games average 2.3 goals, while Guimaraes’ average is two per outing. Three of Gil Vicente’s last four home fixtures have seen Under 2.5 Goals land and we’re expecting that trend to continue on Monday.
