There’s three games of note on Monday evening so we thought we’d give them the once over to serve up a top treble to start the week. First up we’re off to Serie A for Bologna v Atalanta. Bologna are ticking along nicely and are 11th heading into the weekend, four places and nine points behind Atalanta. That doesn’t tell the whole story, though, as the hosts have been in sensational form, winning five of their last seven with two losses coming on the road.

Atalanta, on the other hand, have won one of their last six, drawn one and lost four. The visitors are big favourites but with that recent form on offer, and Bologna’s home results of late, Bologna (+1) could be a great bet.

8pm: Bilbao v Osasuna – Bilbao Win & Over 1.5 Goals

To Spain where Athletic Bilbao in 5th host Osasuna who are going well in 9th. These two have the same record of won two, lost two and drawn on over their last five La Liga matches.

Bilbao have been doing well at home in the league of late, winning four of their last five with only Atletico Madrid preventing that from being a perfect record. I think we can bank on their home form coming up trumps and they’ve been scoring a few goals as well so Athletic Bilbao to Win and Over 1.5 Goals is a nice price.

8pm: Oxford v Arsenal – Arsenal (-2)

We finish with the final game of the Third Round of the FA Cup and it’s League One Oxford hosting Premier League leaders Arsenal. Even if Arsenal rotate heavily here the third tier’s 15th-best side are unlikely to cause them too many, if any, problems.

If The Gunners have been able to swat aside the likes of Brighton, West Ham and Wolves aside by two goals margins over the last few games then you have to think they’ll be able to rack up a handy score against Oxford. At better than even money Arsenal (-2) feels like good value.
