22- ACCA CRACKER - NEW CAP 1024

Blackpool v Nottingham Forest – Forest to Win

We’ll kick off with a top vs second tier clash here with Blackpool hosting Nottingham Forest. The Tangerines are 22nd in The Championship while Forest are 15th in the league above. Blackpool haven’t won any game for 10 matches while Steve Cooper’s crew are going through a revival and have won five of their last nine in all competitions.

Both will chop and change here but Forest will surely have the greater strength in depth after they signed 74 players in the summer. Who knows how many more will be through the door come 3pm on Saturday? Either way, the visitors should have the strength in depth to secure a Forest Win.

Bournemouth v Burnley – Burnley to Win

We continue with our Premier League v Championship theme with Bournemouth v Burnley up next. These two are having contrasting campaigns with The Clarets riding high at the top of the table and The Cherries slipping down to 16th in the big league.

Burnley have won 13 of their last 16 in all competitions with only Manchester United and Sheffield United being able to beat them since August. Everton are the only side who Bournemouth have beaten since the middle of October but, let’s be honest, that’s nothing really to shout about and they’ve not scored in four games now. It should be worth backing the supposed shock here and to side with the Burnley Win.

Hull v Fulham – Fulham to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

We’ve yet another Championship v Premier League clash next as Fulham head to Hull. Both some into this game in decent form, Hull have won two on the bounce and are undefeated in five, while The Cottagers have won three Premier League games in a row.

Amazingly Fulham are up to 7th in the top flight now while Hull are 16th in The Championship, seven points clear of the drop zone. The key here could be that Fulham might fancy a bit of a cup run with 28 points up their sleeve already and their top-flight status all-but confirmed before the half-way stage.

Hull have only had Over 2.5 Goals in one of their last five but that game last time out against Wigan. The Cottagers have seen Over 2.5 Goals in four of their last five so we’ll back Fulham to Win and Over 2.5 Goals in this one, assuming Marco Silva sends out a decent side.

Shrewsbury v Sunderland – Sunderland to Win

Just to mix things up a little we’ll end with League One’s Shrewsbury hosting Sunderland of The Championship. Sunderland are going great guns and are having another playoff tilt following their promotion last season and they’re 8th in the second tier.

For The Shrews it’s pretty much business as usual as they continue to float around the top of the bottom third/bottom of the middle third of the third tier. They’ve 16th and are seven points clear of the final relegation spot.

Both could rotate again but Shrewsbury should hold no fears for The Black Cats. They’ve lost their last three on the bounce with the scorelines getting progressively worse while Sunderland have won four out their last seven and we’ll back that to become an impressive five in eight with an away Win.
