22- ACCA CRACKER - NEW CAP 1024

The Serie A returns on Wednesday with a full list of fixtures kicking off at 11.30am UK time where reigning champions AC Milan travel to Salernitana. We’ll also be looking in on Spezia taking on Atalanta while in the later kickoffs both Roman sides are in action when Roma host Bologna and Lazio travel to Lecce. Let’s dig into the stats then and find four of the best value bets for a four-fold Acca.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

11:30am: Salernitana v AC Milan – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Currently standing eight points behind Napoli at the summit of the Serie A table, champions AC Milan really need to get their season back on track, and soon. They’re going to be in for a stern return to league action here against a Salernitana side who have lost only one of their last six on home soil in the league, winning three of those six, drawing two and losing one, scoring 12 and conceding seven.

Milan have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five in the league and, on their league jaunts, have also won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring eight and conceding five. We’ve seen Over 2.5 goals in four of the host’s last five at home and in four of the last five of the Rossineiri’s away league games too and with Both Teams to Score also landing in all eight of those games we have to go with the value here in backing BTTS & Overs here.

1:30pm: Spezia v Atalanta – Atalanta to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

Spezia are just six points above the relegation zone and have won just one of their last five Serie A games. On paper you’d have to expect them to lose here but Atalanta’s form had been really terrible going into the World Cup break, losing four of their last five Serie A fixtures, winning just one. We should see an improvement here however.

The hosts have won one of their last five at home, drawing one and losing three, scoring six and conceding six while the Orobici have won three of their last five on the road, drawing and losing one apiece, scoring eight and conceding four. We should mention too that Atalanta have put 11 goals past Spezia over their last three matches at both grounds and seeing as both sides are averaging 1.57 goals in their respective home/away games we should see a couple of goals here. That bad home form means we have to go with the away side however and we’re likely looking at a 0-2, 1-2 scoreline here so we’re backing Atalanta to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

22- ACCA CRACKER - NEW CAP 1024

3:30pm: Roma v Bologna – Bologna and Draw

Things might get a bit dodgy for Roma over the coming months as manager Jose Mourinho continues to be linked with the vacant Portugal national team gig. Their form wasn’t great going into the break, with just one win over their last five games, drawing two and losing two while at the Stadio Olimpico, the Romans have won one, drawn one and lost three.

Bologna were in mighty form going into the World Cup break however, winning four of their last five, losing the other one, scoring a very healthy 10 goals while conceding eight. The visitors have only won two of their last 10 visits to the Giallorossi but will fancy their chances here and their recent form in front of goal compared to Roma, who’ve scored just three goals over their last five in the Serie A and three on home turf means we’re getting very good value in opposing Roma in the Double Chance market.

3:30pm: Lecce v Lazio – Lazio to Win

A successful October saw Lazio powering up the Serie A table but two defeats against Juventus and Salernitana pointed to the flaws still present in Maurizio Sarri’s side. The travelling side have won three and lost two of their last five Serie A fixtures but on their travels they’ve been very strong with four wins and one loss over their last five, scoring 11 and conceding three, keeping four clean sheets over those five games.

Lecce have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five respective league encounters while on home soil have won one, drawn three and lost one, scoring five and conceding five as well. Lazio have the superior firepower and goal stats here so we’re backing them to take the three points come full time.
