Cristian Romero to be Shown a Card
We’re trying something a little different here and diving into the ‘Shown a Card’ market for Crystal Palace v Tottenham on Wednesday night.
Our first selection is Cristian Romero and we don’t need to overthink this one too much.
The 24-year-old returned to Spurs’ starting XI for their defeat against Aston Villa and he was shown a yellow but he could have easily seen red after that for a couple of late challenges.
Romero, who impressed for Argentina during their World Cup success, has been booked in three of his last four games for club and country.
He will also play on the right side of a back three at Palace, meaning he’ll have to deal with Wilfried Zaha and Ebere Eze. That’s a tough night for anyone.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to be Shown a Card
Next up is Tottenham’s holding midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Dane and Yves Bissouma are tasked with breaking up play and setting the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min on their way to attack.
Hojbjerg will be helping his back three deal with Zaha and Eze, however, he’ll also be facing the tricky Michael Olise and the energetic Jeffrey Schlupp. Cheick Doucoure will also be in that midfield battle.
Hojbjerg averages around a foul a game and he makes just under two tackles per match. We’re expecting him to get one of those wrong and end up in the book.

Cheick Doucoure to be Shown a Card
We’ve mentioned Hojbjerg’s role for Tottenham and Doucoure has the same job for Palace.
The Mali international is Palace’s screen in front of their back four, with Doucoure averaging 2.5 tackles and 1.7 interceptions per game.
He’s had five tackles and one foul per game since football returned after the World Cup and he’ll have to help his defence with Kane, who will drop deep into midfield to link up play.
Marc Guehi to be Shown a Card
Finally, we’re on Marc Guehi to be Shown a Card. The Crystal Palace centre-half returned to the starting line up for their 2-0 win at Bournemouth last weekend.
Guehi, who has already been booked five times in the Premier League this season, made four tackles at Bournemouth, while giving away one foul.
He’ll have to deal with the streetsmart Kane on Wednesday night, as well as having Son making direct runs through the middle.
