QPR v Sheffield United, Monday, 20:00
TV: Sky Sports Football

Paul Heckingbottom’s Sheffield United are powering up the Championship table of late, winning eight of their last nine in the league and are now just three points behind leaders Burnley. QPR’s form isn’t great, they’ve won just one of their last five league fixtures and will face a stern test here to get a badly-needed three points on the board. Let’s get into the stats then and find four value picks for a bumper Bet Builder.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Sheffield United to Win

It’s hard to look beyond an away win here particularly as when priced at 5/4 or above on the road they’ve taken the three points in three of their last five such games. As mentioned above they’re enjoying a run of eight Championship wins from nine while on their league travels have won all five of their most previously played away games.

The R’s have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three, while at Loftus Road have won just one of their last five league games played there, losing the other four, managing to score in just two of those games. With the Blades keeping six clean sheets over their last 10 on their away jaunts we have to go with them winning here again.

Over 10.5 Corners

We’ve seen an average of 9.6 corners over QPR’s last five home league games and the figure stands are 10.4 for the Blades on the road which is just a wee bit under our line here. QPR are going to be in for a bit of an onslaught here, Heckingbottom’s side are high on confidence and with Burnley just within their grasp they’re going to be pushing here for the win. Burnley play Swansea earlier in the day and the Swans have a decent home record so they might be able to pull level on points should Swansea take the victory there.

We see the away side coming out of the traps quickly here, they’re averaging 10.48 shots per game meaning they’ll be peppering Seny Dieng’s goal which should lead to plenty of corners.

Oliver McBurnie, Sheffield United

Sheffield United to Receive the Most Cards

Both sides won’t be in the running for a Fair Play award when the curtain comes down on the Championship in May, the hosts have picked up 40 Yellow Cards over their 25 games while the visitors have actually picked up more at 54. United have picked up a total of 10 Yellow Cards over their last five on their league excursions while the hosts picked up just three over their last five at home.

Indeed the visitors have one of the highest rates of bookings on the road, picking up 30 over their 13 away games, an average of 2.3 per game. That steely midfield really doesn’t like to see traffic coming though it and we’re getting some great value on our side here in backing the visitors to pick up the most cards.

Sheffield United to have 4 of More Shot on Target

As mentioned above, United are averaging 10.48 shots per Championship game this season, while on their away games are averaging far higher with 14.2 shots seen per away game. Regarding Shots on Target they’ve averaged 5.3 per game on the road and over their last three away games have averaged 5.66 shots on target, so this one has to make the list.
