Friday 7.45pm: West Ham v Brentford
LAWRO: West Ham really need a win here. They took the lead against Arsenal but capitulated. Brentford threw away a lead against Spurs but everyone seems to be doing that at the moment. I just think West Ham need it more. West Ham 2-1 Brentford
RESULT: West Ham 0-2 Brentford
Friday 8pm: Liverpool v Leicester
LAWRO: I’ll be at this game and it will be Brendan Rodgers coming back to Anfield again, though it’s not that much of a big deal these days as he’s been back a few times now. Leicester were taken apart by Newcastle and I did the Liverpool game at Aston Villa and, honestly, it could have ended 12-5! It was mad, absolutely bonkers. Liverpool 3-0 Leicester.
RESULT: Liverpool 2-1 Leicester
Saturday 12.30pm: Wolves v Manchester United
LAWRO: Wolves had a really good last-minute win at Everton which was great for their new manager Julen Lopetegui. United are in a good run of form but a new manager always heightens performances. Wolves 1-1 Manchester United
RESULT: Wolves 0-1 Man Utd
Saturday 3pm: Bournemouth v Crystal Palace
LAWRO: Crystal Palace had a big loss to Fulham and they also had two sent off just to rub it in. Bournemouth were never really in the game against Chelsea and to keep it to 2-0 was an achievement of sorts. I’m going to go for Palace to win, that’s assuming that Patrick Vieira’s got enough players with all those suspensions! Bournemouth 1- 2 Crystal Palace
RESULT: Bournemouth 0-2 Palace
Saturday 3pm: Fulham v Southampton
LAWRO: Nathan Jones is still looking for his first win at Southampton while Fulham got that big win the other day. Southampton were unlucky in the end against Brighton, I think. I wonder if Fulham might be thinking this will be an easy win. Fulham 1-1 Southampton.
RESULT: Fulham 2-1 Southampton
Saturday 3pm: Manchester City v Everton
LAWRO: Everton are a complete mess and that last-gasp loss to Wolves won’t have helped. Manchester City looked great again against Leeds and had a very comfortable win with Erling Haaland looking fab. This will be a very comfortable City win. Manchester City 3-0 Everton.
RESULT: Man City 1-1 Everton
Saturday 3pm: Newcastle v Leeds
LAWRO: Leeds were really competitive against City. They were always under the pump but if they had got to half time at 0-0 then who knows what might have happened. Newcastle just keep going and they’ve still only lost once this season. Pretty much everyone’s fit and they’re really firing. Newcastle 2-0 Leeds.
RESULT: Newcastle 0-0 Leeds
Saturday 5.30pm: Brighton v Arsenal
LAWRO: This should be a good game. Brighton come into this on the back of another good result but they generally don’t score that many goals at home while not losing too many either. Brighton 1-1 Arsenal.
RESULT: Brighton 2-4 Arsenal
Sunday 2pm: Tottenham v Aston Villa
LAWRO: Aston Villa gave their all against Liverpool but defensively they were shocking. Harry Kane got back into the swing of things with Tottenham and scored against Brentford. It’ll take a while for Unai Emery to sort Villa out and Spurs just might not go behind for once. It is the New Year, after all! Tottenham 2-0 Aston Villa.
RESULT: Spurs 0-2 Villa
Sunday 4.30pm: Nottingham Forest v Chelsea
LAWRO: Forest just wilted away at Old Trafford. Chelsea had a solid win but they’ve lost Reece James with injury again so I wonder if they’ll buy someone to help cover that position. They’ll have enough to win this. Nottingham Forest 1-2 Chelsea.
RESULT: Forest 1-1 Chelsea
