WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
7:45pm: Norwich v Reading – Norwich to Win
TV: Sky Sports Red Button
First up for us on Friday night is Norwich v Reading, which sees the hosts play for the first time since the sacking of Dean Smith.
Despite the form dipping under Smith recently, Norwich still find themselves in fifth, just four points off third.
Norwich host a Reading side who have won three of their last five, however, they have the second-worst away form in the Championship.
Reading have lost eight of their 12 away games this season and the home crowd will likely get behind their side following Smith’s exit. Norwich to Win kicks off our Friday night acca!
7:45pm: West Ham v Brentford – Both Teams to Score
We’ve also got some Premier League action on Friday, with West Ham facing off against Brentford.
The Hammers, who lost 3-1 at Arsenal on Boxing Day, are in trouble this season, with David Moyes’ men losing their last four league games. They’ve also conceded an average of two goals per game over that period.
Brentford, meanwhile, impressed against Tottenham in their 2-2 draw last time out and the Bees will be furious they let a two-goal lead slip.
This game sees a poor away record (won one, drawn four, lost three) face off against a below-par home record (won three, drawn one, lost four).
It’s impossible to call the result so we’re looking at goals and we’ve landed on Both Teams to Score.
The selection has landed in four of Brentford’s last five games and West Ham have scored in two of their last three outings.
8pm: Liverpool v Leicester – Mohamed Salah & Darwin Nunez to Combine for 4 or More Shots on Target
TV: Sky Sports Premier League/ Main Event
Next up is Liverpool v Leicester, which sees the hosts eyeing their fourth consecutive Premier League win. The Reds, who beat Aston Villa 3-1 on Boxing Day, will be confident of seeing off Leicester following the Foxes’ disappointing 3-0 defeat against Newcastle last time out.
Liverpool are nailed on to win and instead of looking at the Handicap market (Liverpool -1 makes sense), we’ve found some value in the Combined Shots On Target section.
We like the look of Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez to combine for 4 or more shots on target.
Nunez had four efforts on target at Villa Park and Salah chipped in with two. The pair average around eight shots per game and they’ll have plenty of chances against a shaky Leicester defence.
8:30pm: Valladolid v Real Madrid – Real Madrid to Win And Over 2.5 Goals
TV: ViaPlaySports2/ LaLigaTV
Finally, we’re jetting off to Spain for Valladolid v Real Madrid. The visitors let their lead at the top of the table slip prior to the World Cup, with Real Madrid now two points behind Barcelona after 14 games.
Carlo Ancelotti will be desperate to bounce back with a win against Valladolid, who are 12th in La Liga. Valladolid have a solid home record having won four of their seven games, however, Real’s quality should shine through.
Real Madrid to Win isn’t worth backing at the price so we’re siding with Real Madrid to Win And Over 2.5 Goals.
There have been three or more goals in Valladolid’s last two league games, while Real Madrid’s matches average 3.4 goals per game this season.
