12:30pm: Leyton Orient v Stevenage – Orient to Win

8pm: Burnley v Birmingham City – Burnley to Win & Over 2.5 Goals
It’s a veritable feast of EFL action on the tellybox once again on Tuesday after Boxing Day’s monster seven Championship matches. This time around it’s a selection to savour with a game from Leagues One and Two as well as two from the Championship. We’ll kick off in the fourth tier with Stevenage at Leyton Orient and we’ll even offer up a little acca at the end with our four featured matches.

12:30pm: Leyton Orient v Stevenage – Orient to Win

There’s a top-of-the-tree clash to kick us off in League Two and Leyton Orient have been in sublime form so far, dropping points in just five of their 21 games. Stevenage have also impressed and they finished two places above the drop zone last season but are two points clear of Northampton in 2nd heading into Christmas.
This could well be a war of attrition. These two are among the division’s four most prolific scorers but have the meanest and second-meanest defences. With so much at stake here I think the wily Stevenage boss Steve Evans might take this into the gutter but the home side are irresistible at the moment (seven wins in their last eight) so we’ll take a punt on Orient to Win in a very trappy game.
3pm: Bolton v Derby – Bolton to Win

To League One next for one of the many fallen giant derbies in this division. Incidentally, most of these derbies feature Derby and they’re away at Bolton. Both have come back from the brink financially but they’re in fairly robust health on the pitch, sitting 5th and 6th respectively.
Bolton are excellent at home and boast the second best record in front of their supporters in the league. Derby draw a load on the road but with Bolton taking 23 points from 11 games the smart play is to back the Home Win.
5.15pm: Reading v Swansea – The Draw

It’s the first of our Championship double bill here with Reading v Swansea up first. Reading are tied with Swansea on 32 points but trail them in 11th on goal difference. These two are in pretty poor form overall. The Royals have won two of their last seven and Swansea are winless over the same period, drawing five and losing two.
While Reading are good at home overall (22 points from 11 games) but less so in recent times with two wins two losses and a draw in their last five at The Madejski. Those Swansea stalemates are sticking out (five in their last seven) so it might be worth a poke on The Draw.
8pm: Burnley v Birmingham – Burnley Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Burnley’s barnstorming season continues at home to Birmingham late on Tuesday with Vincent Kompany’s crew looking for their ninth Championship win in their last 10 games. They’re top and will be tackling a Blues side who are having a decent campaign themselves and are 9th in the second tier heading into Christmas.
City have won two of their last six, losing one and drawing the other three. There should be a few goals in this and The Blues have had Over 2.5 Goals in four of their last five. The Clarets have seen Overs in every one of their last six Championship games. With a home victory to be expected we can juice up the value with Burnley to Win and Over 2.5 Goals.
