22- ACCA CRACKER - NEW CAP 1024

For Friday night’s football action we’re across the best of the fixtures on offer from the Scottish Premiership and Championship, we’ll also be looking in on the Portuguese Premeira Liga but kicking us off, we’re headed to Belgium where old rivals Gent and Standard Liege face off.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Gent v Standard Liege – Gent to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

TV: Mola TV

Gent are five points ahead of Standard going into this clash and are short-odds to take the three points. They’d been in strong form prior to the break in play, going seven games undefeated, winning five and drawing two. On their home patch they’ve won four of their last five competitive fixtures, scoring 11 and conceding just two.

Standard have won two and lost three of their last five and share the same results over their last five away games, scoring five goals while conceding four. Gent have won all five of the most previous meetings between the sides here and with their superior goals we see that continuing . They’ve scored at least two in seven of their last eight at the Ghelamco so there’s value on our side here in backing the hosts to Win and Over 1.5 Goals.

Ross County v Rangers – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Football

Ross County have failed to beat Rangers in all of their last 10 meetings at home, losing eight and drawing two. Over their last five Premiership games they’ve won two and lost three while on home soil have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three, scoring six goals while conceding 12 with Both Teams to Score landing in four and Over 2.5 Goals in all five.

Rangers have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five league outings while on their Premiership travels have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 11 and conceding six with BTTS landing in four and Overs in four.

Motherwell v Kilmarnock – Under 2.5 Goals

Neither side come into this clash in the best of shape it must be said, Motherwell have won just one of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing three but they have, at least, scored in all of those matches. At Fir Park things haven’t been going well either with one draw and four losses over their last five, scoring just three goals while conceding nine.

Killie have won just one of their last five respective Premiership matchups, losing all four of the others, away from home they’ve been on the wrong side of four defeats over their last five, drawing the other one, scoring just two goals and conceding 12. With neither side hitting the back of the net much we can’t see many here, particularly as only two of their last 10 meetings here have seen Overs landing.

Ayr v Dundee – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

It’s the Championship’s top two facing off here, Ayr are top of the pile on 32 points after 18 games while Dundee are just a point behind although they do have a game in hand and it’s the away side who are in the better overall form. The hosts have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five in the league while at Somerset Park have won three and drawn two, scoring 14 and conceding five with BTTS and Overs landing in three.

The Dark Blues have now gone eight Championship matches undefeated, winning four of their last five, drawing the other one. On their travels things aren’t quite so good with two wins, two draws and a loss, with eight goals scored and eight conceded. BTTS was witnessed in four of those five matches while Overs landed in three. You’d have to imagine we’ll see goals here, this game could well help decide who lands the title in May and we’ve seen Overs landing in four of their last five games at both grounds. We have to look at BTTS & Overs here.

22- ACCA CRACKER - NEW CAP 1024

Rio Ave v Maritimo – Rio Ave to Win

Both sides here have kept busy over the break in play with the Taca de Portugal with the hosts winning four of their last five fixtures in all competitions, losing the other one and share the same record on home soil. However, their games have been very tight with just five goals scored and three conceded.

Maritimo have won none of their last five fixtures and their away games have seen them winning one, drawing one (losing it on penalties) and losing three, scoring just three goals while conceding 12. The away side aren’t scoring enough and the home side have kept three clean sheets over their last five on home soil which means we’re getting a very generous price for a home win here.
