The Draw

We’ve got some Championship action to get stuck into on Friday night, with Birmingham in 14th hosting eighth-placed Reading.

Despite their distance apart in the league, only three points separates the two teams coming into the clash.

Birmingham come into this one having lost just once in their last five games and they’ll know a win can send them up to seventh in the Championship.

Reading, meanwhile, have won their last two outings against Hull and Coventry and they’ll be desperate to build on that.

Birmingham, who played out a 0-0 draw at Blackpool last time out, have been draw specialists recently, with four of their last eight ending level – and we’re expecting that trend to continue on Friday night.

Troy Deeney to Have 1 or More Shots on Target

Birmingham will likely be without top scorer Scott Hogan through injury against Reading, meaning there is more pressure on Deeney to be an attacking threat.

The former Watford man has netted three times and chipped in with an assist in the Championship this season and he’ll be keen to build on that.

Deeney will start up top alongside Tahith Chong or fellow big man Lukas Jutkiewicz against Reading.
