8pm: Rangers v Hibs TV: Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football
Rangers (-1)
Come Thursday there will only be one game left that matters at the World Cup and our minds will start to return to domestic action if they’re not there already. Scotland’s Premiership, never a league to be outdone or to miss a beat, gets back into the swing of things on Thursday night so we thought it was only right to fire up a Bet Builder for Rangers v Hibernian.
Rangers weren’t in the best of form before the international break and they’ll be looking to bounce back with a victory here to keep their faltering title charge on track. Giovanni van Bronckhorst was sacked last month and new boss Mick Beale won’t get a better chance of a good start against a Hibs side who were in rank form. With the Gers big favourites, backing Rangers (-1) in the handicaps might be the best way to play.
Under 3.5 Goals
Hibs had lost three on the bounce before the World Cup, losing six of their last seven overall. They’ve fired a blank in their last two games and Under 2.5 Goals could have a great chance. Beale generally kept things pretty tight at QPR and that its likely to be the foundation for success here so we’ll gamble on another Hibs misfire and for Rangers to get the job done in functional style.
However, with a Bet Builder on the mind, we’ll play things a little safer and side with Under 3.5 Goals. Under 3.5 has clicked in five of Rangers’ last six league matches and four of Hibs’ last five.

Croatian hitman Antonio-Mirko Colak has been in fine fettle for Rangers this season and he tops their goal-scorer charts with 11 goals in 20 appearances, four more than their second highest, James Tavernier.
Hibs have shared them around but their top scorer is on five and we’ve already discussed their chances of scoring here. Our man hasn’t scored in the last three but with that long rest under his belt we’ll back the 29-year-old to bounce back to form and for Antonio-Mirko Colak to Score First.
James Tavernier to Score or Assist
The ever-consistent Tavernier has also been pivotal for Rangers this campaign and he’s got seven goals and five assists to his name so far. Unlike Colak he went into the international break in good form with three goals in the last four games.
He’s an absolute menace from set pieces and is on spot kicks so poses a real double threat in terms of scoring and providing. Against a struggling Hibs side at Ibrox, the Englishman should have plenty of chances to affect the game so James Tavernier to Score or Assist feels like a solid way to round us off.
