Cameroon v Brazil Betting Tips
Brazil to Win to Nil
Vinicius Junior to have 2 or More Shots on Target
Brazil to Win 0-3
Having already qualified for the Last 16, Brazil’s coach Tite is likely to ring in a few changes here, although, of course, he should still name a strong starting XI to ensure they extend their winning run to 10 victories in-a-row. Cameroon are still in with a shout, should they win and Switzerland v Serbia finishes level it will come down to goal difference. If Serbia win, it’ll also be decided on goal difference. A Swiss win will see them eliminated.
So, with the permutations out of the way, let’s dig into the stats and find the three best bets for this Group G showdown.

Brazil to Win to Nil
The one criticism that’s been put upon Brazil is that they look a bit, well, long-in-the-tooth, at the back. However, the back four of Alex Sandro, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Danilo with an average age of 32, have looked solid and are yet to concede. Indeed, Brazil have only conceded four goals over their last 14 fixtures.
They’ve actually been so secure at the back that they restricted Serbia to just 0.22 goals in the Expected Goals (xG) stat while the Swiss registered just 0.42 xG in their last game.

Cameroon obviously threw caution to the wind against Serbia, fighting back incredibly well from 1-3 down to draw 3-3 in what was one of the games of the tournament so far. However, they aren’t exactly known for their goal-scoring qualities and over their six games prior to the Qatar World Cup only managed to score in three of them.
It’s also worth mentioning here too that Alisson in goal has kept seven clean sheets over his last 10 games for club and country. The value is certainly on our side here then and we reckon that Brazil’s defence are going to be able handle anything thrown at them.
Vinicius Junior to have 2 or More Shots on Target
Vinicius Junior is quite simply one of the most exciting young players to watch in world football at the moment. He’s scored 23 La Liga goals over his last 49 games for Real Madrid with an assists record of 0.5 per game over the last season and a half. He’s been clinical in the Champions League too, scoring eight goals over the last season and a half with eight assists to his name too.
Over his last 18 months with Los Blancos he’s averaged 2.65 shots per game and 1.65 Shots on Target per La Liga match. He’s yet to score in the World Cup, having one ruled out for offside, but any doubts over his starting place have been firmly put to bed after two strong performances for Selecao. We think he’s going to get a lot of joy attacking Cameroon’s right flank here and seeing as he’s already averaged 2.5 shots per game so far we reckon he can improve on that here and land at least two on target.
Brazil to Win 0-3
Brazil to win 0-3 looks like very decent value here, they’ve scored at least three goals in seven of their last nine fixtures and Cameroon rarely keep an opponent scoreless, just two over their last nine and they were against Equatorial Guinea and Burundi, so the goals should flow, particularly as Brazil have now won all of their last nine fixtures.
Richarlison may be dropped for this game with a Last 16 match against what will probably be either Belgium or Morocco on the horizon but with Gabriel Jesus expected to be given the nod in his stead, partnered with Vinicius Junior and either Raphinha or Rodrygo, we’d still expect plenty of goals in this final Group G match.
