Aleksandar Mitrovic to Score Anytime

Serbia and Switzerland face off on Friday night with both sides hoping to book their place in the knockout stages. Brazil, who have already qualified for the Last 16, face Cameroon meaning a win for Serbia or Switzerland will see them finish second behind Tite’s side.

The Swiss are on three points after two games, meaning a draw would be good enough as long as Cameroon fail to beat Brazil. Serbia have just a point to their name, so only a win will do for them here.

Their main man Aleksandar Mitrovic netted in their 3-3 draw with Cameroon last time out but the Fulham man could have scored more.

He had seven shots in total, with two efforts going on target. Mitrovic will be keen to add to his tally at the World Cup and he will know his performance could dictate whether Serbia qualify for the knockout stages.

The Draw

We know about Serbia and Switzerland’s positions heading into their final Group G game and we’re expecting a cagey affair.

A draw will likely be enough for Switzerland – depending on the Brazil v Cameroon result – so they could sit back more than usual.

Serbia have to attack as they need to win to progress, but they’ll be smart for the majority of the game and keep it tight until they have to go all out for the win.

Even though Serbia need the victory, Switzerland might be too tough to break down. There seems value in The Draw.

Correct Score: 1-1

We’ve mentioned we’re keen on The Draw and we also like the look of Correct Score: 1-1. Switzerland beat Cameroon 1-0 in their opening game and they only lost 1-0 against Brazil last time out.

Their games are often close and they keep a compact shape against whoever they play. Serbia’s 3-3 draw against Cameroon was a freak result and there’s too much on the line for Mitrovic and Co. to go all out from the first whistle. We’re not expecting too many goals in this one.
