This one looks like a very intriguing tie and even more so after we saw Argentina fall to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Saudi Arabia. Serbia qualified for the tournament by beating Portugal away from home in the final group game to top Group A and also won their Nations League group, winning four of their last five games. So while Brazil are rightful favourites in this game, it may not be as straightforward as some people expect.

Neymar: 2 or more Shots on Target

Brazil have an array of attacking talent, and have brought nine forwards to the tournament, including four from the Premier League. It’s expected that they will start with Neymar through the middle, with Vinicius Junior and Raphinha on the wings while Richarlison is also an option that Tite may choose to go with. 

Either way, the attackers constantly build through Neymar and he is the one Brazil always look for while driving forward. For this reason, we’d be looking to side with him in any positive markets – Goalscorer, assists, shots on target. Neymar is 11/10 for to Score Anytime looks like very good value considering he also takes free kicks and penalties. But it’s his price of 10/11 for 2 or more Shots on Target that we’re going with here as most of Brazil’s traffic will be going through the PSG man and he’ll be testing Vanja Milinkovic-Savic in the Serbia goal ever chance he gets.

Filip Kostic Anytime Assist

Another area of the pitch you’d have to look at is Serbia’s left hand side where Filip Kostic will be playing. Kostic is one of Serbia’s best players and has looked brilliant for Juventus this season, managing six assists so far this season. He’s not renowned for his goal scoring but for an Anytime Assist Kostic is 5/1. 

If Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dusan Vlahovic are both fit to start this game a lot of balls will be coming into the box from that left-hand side for those big and powerful strikers and both have plenty of quality at their disposal to find the back of the net if Kostic plays them in.

Danilo to Commit 2 or more Fouls

An area of weakness for Brazil is at full back where we expect to see Danilo and Alex Telles starting. We have a tantalising match-up between Juventus team mates Kostic and Danilo here and it should be quite the battle. 

Danilo has been deployed as a centre back for most of this season due to a lack of pace and Kostic will be well aware that he has the advantage over his Serie A colleague in that area. For this reason we should see Kostic taking him on a few times and Danilo having to make a few fouls. He is 5/2 to commit 2 or more fouls and that’s very decent value indeed.
