Netherlands to Win
Senegal and Netherlands kick off their 2022 World Cup campaigns on Monday afternoon, with Louis van Gaal’s side the favourite coming into the clash. They went unbeaten in World Cup qualifying after losing their opening game, while scoring 33 goals in that period.
Van Gaal also has Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich at the back to keep Senegal out. Senegal are without Beyern’s Sadio Mane, with the forward ruled out through injury. Netherlands to Win makes sense and it’s our first Bet Builder selection.

Memphis Depay may be struggling to get game time for Barcelona following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski, however, he’s the main man for Netherlands. The 28-year-old netted 12 goals and chipped in with six assists in World Cup qualifying and he’s usually deployed in a front three alongside Cody Gakpo and Steven Bergwijn.

Cody Gakpo to Score or Assist
Gakpo has burst onto the scene in the last 12 months, with the PSV forward continuously being linked with a move to the Premier League. The 23-year-old finished with 14 goals and 13 assists for PSV last season and he’s been in even better form this campaign for the Dutch side.
Gakpo has already bagged 15 times in all competitions, while also setting up 14 goals. He averages 3.6 shots per game for PSV in the Eredivisie and we know he has the ability to create goals. Gakpo to Score or Assist is our next Bet Builder leg.
Idrissa Gueye to be Shown a Card
Idrissa Gueye starts in his usual defensive midfield role for Senegal and the Everton man is usually good for a booking. The 33-year-old has been booked three times in nine starts for the Toffes and he’s given away seven fouls in Everton’s last two Premier League games.
Gueye has averaged 3.8 tackles per game for Everton in their last five matches and he’ll be chasing the Netherlands midfield around on Monday. Gueye to be Shown a Card seems a shrewd selection.
