Friday 8pm: Portsmouth v Derby
TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports Football

The Draw

Fifth-placed Portsmouth host Derby on Friday night, with the visitors just one spot behind Danny Cowley’s men in League One on goal difference.

Portsmouth come into this one having drawn their last three league games, with all of those outings finishing 1-1.

Cowley’s side will be desperate to turn those draws into wins soon to put pressure on the teams in the automatic playoff positions.

However, they welcome a Derby side who are unbeaten in their last four League One games. They’ve also got a solid away record, with Paul Warne’s side winning three of their last five on the road.

There isn’t much separating Portsmouth and Derby so we’re going to back The Draw in what would be a fourth consecutive stalemate for the home side.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

Both Teams to Score

We’ve mentioned Portsmouth’s record at home in their last five, with Both Teams to Score landing in their last three outings.

As for Derby, their last three League One games has also seen the selection come in.

Portsmouth’s league games average 2.8 goals, while Derby’s average is 2.3. Both Teams to Score makes sense.

Colby Bishop to Score Anytime

Colby Bishop has been Portsmouth’s main goal threat this season, with the 26-year-old scoring nine times in 16 appearances.

Bishop had a fine start to the season, netting five in his first five games. He then had a slight dip, however, he’s back amongst the goals now.

He’s bagged three in his last four in all competitions and he’ll be keen to keep that impressive run going. Bishop to Score Anytime is our next leg.

James Collins to Score Anytime

James Collins and David McGoldrick are Derby’s two forwards, with the pair scoring six and four goals respectively.

Three of McGoldrick’s four came in Derby’s 4-2 win against Bristol Rovers last month so we’re going to side with Collins to Score Anytime.

Collins is a handful and he’s netted five times in his last seven starts in all competitions.

He came on for 20 minutes in Derby’s 5-0 FA Cup win against Torquay on Tuesday night so the Irishman will be guaranteed to start up top.
