Arsenal -2 Handicap
Arsenal were thoroughly outclassed in their 2-0 defeat in Eindhoven last week but it was a bit of a free hit considering they had a home fixture against whipping boys FC Zurich to seal their place as group winners and avoid a place in the play-offs against Champions League teams next spring. The Premier League leaders should have absolutely no trouble against a side that currently sits bottom of the Swiss league with nine defeats from their opening 14 games.
FC Zurich recorded a surprise come-from-behind win over Bodo/Glimt last time out to avoid finishing their Europa League campaign with zero points, but the chances of them recording a second successive win are incredibly remote. The Swiss side were beaten 0-5 on their trip to Eindhoven earlier in the Group Stage and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a similar result at the Emirates on Thursday night.
Eddie Nketiah to Score Anytime
Eddie Nketiah has developed a knack of scoring in competitions of a lesser importance. The English forward has scored 25 goals in his Arsenal career, with 13 of those goals coming in the League Cup and the Europa League. One-fifth of his Arsenal goals have come in Europe’s secondary competition, with two of those goals coming this season.
Nketiah scored against Zurich in a 1-2 win in Switzerland in their Group A opener and scored the first goal in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt in their second game. He has started all five Europa League outings and is good value to get on the scoresheet for the second time in a home Europa League game this season.

Fabio Vieira Anytime Assist
It has been a fairly subdued start to life at Arsenal for Fabio Vieira since his arrival from Porto in the summer. The Portuguese midfielder has scored two goals and provided one assist in all competitions since joining the Gunners, making just six starts in total. However, he has started all five Europa League games and is likely to start on Thursday night.
Vieira’s one assist in an Arsenal shirt came in a comfortable home win in the Europa League and there is a good chance that he will repeat the feat against a Zurich side that has conceded 15 goals in five Europa League games. The 22-year-old averages 1.4 key passes per game in the Europa League and will have plenty of opportunities to pick the Zurich lock – admittedly not a difficult one to pick.
Gabriel Martinelli to Score Anytime
Gabriel Martinelli has featured in every Europa League game to date despite Mikel Arteta’s tendency to rotate in Europe. He has failed to score or assist in the competition so far, which is somewhat strange given the relative weakness of the Europa League compared to the Premier League where Martinelli has scored five times.
The Brazilian winger is enjoying a sensational Premier League season and has been pivotal in Arsenal topping the table after 12 games. It would be surprising if he featured against a team as weak as Zurich and failed to score.
