Football Tips: Thommo’s best bets for Saturday’s EPL TV games

The big man runs the rule over your Saturday armchair entertainment.

Saturday 12.30pm: Leicester v Manchester City
Manchester City to Win 2-0
Erling Haaland to Score Anytime

Saturday 5.30pm: Fulham v Everton
Fulham to Win and Both Teams To Score
Aleksandar Mitrovic to Score Anytime

Saturday 7.45pm: Liverpool v Leeds
Liverpool to Win to Nil
Darwin Nunez to Score Anytime

Saturday 12.30pm: Leicester v Manchester City

TV: BT Sport 1

I do think Manchester City will win this. It’s hard to bet against them, isn’t it? Having said that, Leicester, are they turning the corner? Obviously Brendan Rodgers will be hoping so because I think he was leading the sack race.

They seem to be making a bit of a fist of it in the last two and they’re unbeaten in their last three home Premier League games, winning two of them. They’ve not conceded in those three either which was much needed because they were having a torrid time.

But how can you bet against Manchester City? They’ve scored 36 goals, they’ve scored at least two goals in 18 of their last 20 Premier League games so you are expecting them to score. I’m going for them to get two and they’ve won six of their last seven meetings with Leicester.

I’m going for Manchester City to Win. It’s Erling Haaland to Score Anytime because he’s in absolutely fine form but he did come off early in the week against Borussia Dortmund. I’m going for City to keep a clean sheet so I think they’ll win 2-0.

Saturday 5.30pm: Fulham v Everton

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

It’s interesting this game because it’s two teams who are having a decent time of it. Fulham have won the last two scoring three goals in each which is quite something. They’ve scored 22 goals and that’s only topped by the top three in the Premier League so it’s a great record.

In their six games at home they’ve scored 13, they’ve also conceded 11 so I think there will be goals in this for both sides. Everton will be more than happy with their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend which was very, very good.

I fancy Fulham to win this but I think it’s going to be very, very tight and I think Both Teams will score. If you want a goal scorer I think Mitrovic has had an absolutely excellent start to the season. I was one of those who didn’t think he could hack it in the Premier League but he’s come up trumps so it’s Mitrovic to Score Anytime.

Saturday 7.45pm: Liverpool v Leeds

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

This is a fixture that brings back lots of memories for me, playing in them as a young man against the likes of Billy Bremner and Johnny Giles. It was quite something! But, back to the modern day, and Liverpool are unbeaten in 29 home Premier League games scoring 73 goals in that time.

They won 1-0 in their last two home Premier League games against West Ham and Manchester City so, as you can see, they’re strong at home. Leeds, my goodness, Jesse Marsch is hanging on to his job very, very tenderly at the moment.

They’re without a win in eight Premier League games and have just one point from their last five away games and they’ve lost the last four on the trot. You can see where I’m going with this, I’m going for a comfortable Liverpool Win to Nil. I can’t see Leeds scoring.

I’ve gone with Mo Salah to score a lot this season which has been coming up trumps for me but I’m going for Darwin Nunez to Score Anytime here. I think he’s on a real hot streak, he’s looking good, and I do think he will start.
