Erling Haaland to Have Three or More Shots on Target

The brilliant thing about Erling Haaland is that he doesn’t need space in which to score. City typically play sides that are so focused on layering defensive lines across the central areas of the pitch that they need to spread the ball wide.

Yet he still makes up for that lack of space with lightning first touches and prowess in the air. Leicester flip the script and simply won’t do that.

They’ll focus their efforts on crosses being stopped and actually look to leave a link man high. This should directly impact Haaland’s ability to take more shots – not just score more goals.

He’ll have a bit more time on the ball and that should mean not having the final touch of a move, but moreso being handed the opportunity to score from less-well-carved-out moves.

Patson Daka to Have 1 or More Shots on Target

Of course, Leicester know that by playing City in this way, they can take advantage of three-v-threes further down the pitch. While Haaland can shoot from anywhere, Daka certainly needs more teeing up than the Norwegian phenom, but he should get it as City’s overloads leave them stuck in behind.

Over 3.5 Goals

I’d not normally want to back unders at City anyway because it’s like watching grown men fall at the ice rink. Yes, you might get some enjoyment out of it but deep down you know it’s wrong.

In this instance, there’ll be so much space afforded here that it seems inconceivable that we won’t be greeted with goals.

Phil Foden Anytime Assist

City’s players operate in small pockets of space in between centre half and full back. They then link-up with runners from off-the-ball.

That’s not actually going to be the approach here, though. City are going to focus more on their best dribblers to come inside rather than to the bylines and that should make Foden more of a threat than Silva and Grealish who are so effective at dictating width.
