Friday 8pm: Birmingham City v QPR
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football
QPR to Win
QPR have made a brilliant start to their Championship campaign and find themselves 2nd in the table with a third of the season gone. They could go top with a win away at Birmingham City on Friday night with table-toppers Burnley set to play on Saturday.
They’re two points behind The Clarets and have a game in hand as well. The Blues are 15th but are just three points clear of the drop zone so it’s really tight at the bottom, especially with Coventry in 22nd having at least two games in hand on everyone else.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
The Rs have won eight of their last 11, drawing one and losing two with three of those triumphs coming away from home. However, the two they’ve lost have been on the road but they were against Luton and Swansea who are both in and around the playoffs.
City have won four games all season, drawing five and losing six. Strangely three of those wins have come on the road so with only one win at St Andrew’s and QPR’s vastly superior overall form, coupled with the price, I think we have to kick off with an Away Win.
Ilias Chair to Have 1 or More Shots on Target
Ilias Chair started the season like a house on fire but he’s gone a bit quiet recently. In total he has nine goal involvements this season, six assists and three goals, but only one in the last seven.
However, he’s still averaging exactly one shot on target per 90 minutes played and I think there’s a good chance of him hitting that benchmark again. With QPR likely to dominate I think it’s well worth a punt on Chair to Have 1 or More Shots on Target.

Scott Hogan to Have 2 or More Shots on Target
Scott Hogan has been City’s shining light this season and he’s already on seven goals. He’ll be looking to kick onto the magical 20 mark and has been clinical so far, out performing his xG by some distance.
He’s only averaging 1 shot on target per 90 minutes so far but we’ll hope he can outperform that statistic as well and test the keeper at least twice. He’s their focal point, has two goals in his last two, and should get a couple of chances so Scott Hogan to Have 2 or More Shots on Target could be a smart play.
Lyndon Dykes to Score Anytime
Lyndon Dykes has been growing into this season and has picked up a bit of Chair’s slack of late. He’s bagged four in the last four games with a pair of braces against Cardiff and Reading.
While he’s not QPR’s top scorer, that’s Chris Willock on six, Dykes’ recent form has caught my eye. The extra sweetener is that he’s on pens so we’ll wrap up with Dykes to Score Anytime.
