Wednesday night’s football action finds us trawling for value across the late kickoffs in the Champions League and we’ve found five value-laden picks to make up a fiesty five-fold acca. There’s plenty to get into here so let’s get started with Ajax hosting Liverpool in Amsterdam.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Ajax v Liverpool – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 2

The Liverpool playbook this season has been as such; play great, play OK, then play terrible, rinse and repeat. This means we should see them playing pretty fantastically then against Ajax on Wednesday night. Or not. The Reds have won three and lost two of their last five fixtures in all competitions and their Dutch opponents share the same record. Their away form is pretty bad though with just one win over their last five games on the road, drawing one and losing three while Ajax have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Napoli have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League and Liverpool just need a point from their two remaining games but should Ajax get a win here they’ll surely beat Rangers away next week and can we trust Liverpool to get a point should they need it? Liverpool’s away Champions League record is good though it must be said, winning four of their last five on the road, losing the other one, scoring a healthy 16 goals while conceding eight, keeping just one clean sheet. Ajax have netted 18 over their last five home games, conceding eight so goals are definitely on the menu here; we’re looking at Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 goals.

Atletico Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen – Atletico Madrid to Win

TV: BT Sport 7

Club Brugge have already qualified from Group B but all three of the other teams can also make it though, when Atletico welcome Leverkusen to the Wanda Metropolitano though both sides have to go for the win because if Porto beat Brugge away from home a draw will be a disaster for both sides.

Diego Simeone’s side are unbeaten over their last five games, winning three and drawing two while on home soil have won two, drawn two and lost one while their opponents have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three while on their away jaunts have drawn one and lost four. The home crowd will have the ground rocking here knowing what’s on the line and against a German side who can’t even buy a win we have to back the hosts.

Barcelona v Bayern Munich – Over 3.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 5

Sitting three points behind Inter in second place in Group C, Barcelona simply have to win this match but this will be the sternest of tests as the Catalans have only beaten the Bavarians once over their last eight meetings in the Champions League. With Inter hosting Viktoria Plzen they’ll surely take the three points and it’ll come down to the last day where Barca will be hoping Bayern do them a favour. Saying that, they have to beat Bayern first.

Xavi’s side have won three of their last five fixtures in all competitions, drawing one and losing one while at the Nou Camp have won six of their last seven, drawing the other one, scoring an impressive 14 goals over their last five games. The Munichers have won four and drawn one of their last five matches while on the road have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 13 while conceding seven. We’ve seen Over 3.5 goals in three of Barca’s last five at home and in three of Bayern’s last five on their travels too, the hosts have to go for it here but the visitors are lethal so we’re backing that Overs trend to continue.

Harry Kane Tottenham

Napoli v Rangers – Napoli to Win to Nil

TV: BT Sport 4

Napoli are already assured of knockout football in the Champions League this season while Rangers need at least four points and other games to go their way to salvage a Europa League place. The hosts are in incredible form, sitting pretty atop of the Serie A table and have won all 11 of their previous matches. At home they’re undefeated over their seven home games across all competitions, winning all five of their most recent matches, scoring 15 while conceding six.

Rangers have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five fixtures but away from home have won just two, losing the other three, scoring six goals yet failing to score in three of those games and conceding 11. Rangers, thanks to needing to qualify for the Champions League, have played four away games but only managed to score in one of them; we’re backing Gli Azzurri to Win to Nil here.

Tottenham v Sporting – Harry Kane to Score Anytime

TV: BT Sport 3

With Erling Haaland taking all of the limelight in the Premier League, Harry Kane isn’t far behind him in the scoring charts with 10 goals over his 12 league appearances. He’s only gotten one in the Champions League though and with both Marseille and Sporting just a point behind them in Group D the hosts need to take control of this game and go for the win.

After losing to Sporting in the reverse fixture in mid-September, Antonio Conte’s side will be out for revenge and should they take the three points they’ll be assured of advancing to the knockout round. Spurs have won three and lost two of their last five while at home have won four and lost one with Kane scoring four goals over those five games. Sporting have won two and lost three of their last five and on their travels share the same record. Spurs should come out on top here and we’re liking the odds for England’s captain to get at least one here.

Wednesday night’s acca:

Ajax v Liverpool – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
Atletico Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen – Atletico Madrid to Win
Barcelona v Bayern Munich – Over 3.5 Goals
Napoli v Rangers – Napoli to Win to Nil
Tottenham v Sporting Lisbon – Harry Kane to Score Anytime
