WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Mainz v FC Koln – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Mix, 19:30

Mainz’s five most previous matches have seen them winning two, drawing two and losing one but their league form makes for dire reading with just one win over their last five in the Bundesliga, drawing two and losing two while at the Mewa Arena, the 05ers have drawn four and lost one, scoring four and conceding seven.

Koln are doing a bit better than their opponents, they’ve recently beaten Borussia Dortmund at home, winning two of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing two but on their league travels have won just one, drawing three and losing one, scoring 10 and conceding 11. Koln have far more goals in them but have only kept one clean sheet so far in the league this season; we’re looking at Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals here.

Juventus v Empoli – Both Teams to Score

TV: BT Sport 3, 19:45

Juventus’ inconsistency this season has been all too evident, they’ve won just three of their last 10 fixtures in all competitions while in the Serie A have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games played. At the Juventus Stadium, however, the Old Lady still sings, they’re unbeaten over their five home games this campaign, winning three and drawing two, scoring 11 and conceding three and Empoli have only won away to Juve once; last season’s shock opening league match.

Empoli will be pretty pleased with their season so far, losing just three of their 10 league clashes and will fancy their chances of getting something positive here. They’ve won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five in the Serie A, while on their jaunts have won one, drawn three and lost one, scoring five and conceding five. Gli Azzurri have become very tough to beat and while normally we’d have to back Juve at home, their form this season is just too erratic and the better value is in the Both Teams to Score market.

Ipswich v Derby – Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Football, 20:00

Both teams here share the same stats regarding overall form in League One with three wins and two losses over their last five but the hosts have won three of their last five played at Portman Road in the league, drawing and losing one apiece while the Rams have won two, drawn two and lost one on their recent trips away from home where they failed to score in three of those games.

Having said they, Paul Warne’s side have scored eight goals over their last four and the Blues have only kept one clean sheet over their last five but have scored a total of 10 over their last five home League One games; we’re likely to see both scoring here but both are in very good goal-scoring form of late and we’re very much liking the price on Over 2.5 goals for this one.

AC Ajaccio v PSG – PSG to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport ESPN, 20:00

You’d like to give Ajaccio a chance here, seeing as they’ve won two of their last five Ligue Un fixtures, drawing one and losing two but their home form is atrocious with one draw and four losses over their last five at home in the league, scoring just two goals while conceding eight.

PSG’s recent form has seen them drawing a few too many with two wins over their last five in all competitions, drawing the other three; their league form, however, sees them yet to lose this season with nine wins and two draws, winning four and drawing one of their last five and share the same results over their last five on the road, scoring 14 while conceding just one. The Parisians should run riot here against a team who aren’t scoring on home turf; we’re looking at 3-0 and above, so we’re backing PSG to Win & Over 2.5 goals.

Porto v Benfica – Both Teams to Score

TV: BT Sport 2, 20:15

The first O Classico of the season and we’ve had some absolute belters over recent seasons at the Estadio do Dragao with the hosts winning three of the last five played there with their old rivals winning one and one ending all square. Porto have won all five of their most recent games played in all competitions while in the league have won four and drawn one and at home have won all five, scoring 14 and conceding just two.

Benfica’s overall form has seen them winning just one of their last five games, surprisingly, drawing four and winning one on penalties. However, their Primeira Liga form is mighty with four wins and one draw and share the same results over their last five on their travels, scoring seven and conceding none. Both Teams to Score has landed in all five of the pair’s most recent league meetings held at the Dragao and with both teams in such good league form we see that trend continuing.
