7.30pm: Newcastle v Everton – Newcastle Win & BTTS

TV: Amazon Prime

Wednesday night promises to be a busy night of football and we’ve combed through the fixture list to find five value picks for a fiery-looking Acca. There’s so much to get into here so let’s begin in the Premier League where Newcastle host Everton at St James’ Park.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Newcastle are sitting pretty up at sixth in the table and while that looks decent on paper Toon have only actually won three of their 10 Premier League games this season, drawing six, losing just one. Over their last five games, Eddie Howe’s side have won three and drawn two and on home turf share the same record with 11 goals scored and five conceded.

Everton have improved this season under Frank Lampard, he’s made them tougher to beat but not impossible. Of their last five league games they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one while on their away trips have won one, drawn two and lost two, scoring five and conceding seven.

The hosts have the better form here for sure but they need to start winning more to break into the upper echelons of the league. With Everton scoring in all but one of their away games this season, coupled with Newcastle’s wayward defending at St James’ we’re getting better value in backing the hosts to win and Both Teams to Score.

7.30pm: Bournemouth v Southampton – Bournemouth to Win

TV: Amazon Prime

Bournemouth’s form has really improved since their 9-0 spanking at the hands of Liverpool in August. Since then the Cherries have won two and drawn four of their six league fixtures. At the Vitality they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring just four goals while conceding just four as well.

Southampton have drawn one and lost four of their last five league games and look to be in a bit of bother. On their travels they’ve won one and lost four, scoring just three goals while conceding 11. Another loss for the Saints could see head bottlewasher Ralph Hasenhuttl getting his marching orders and with Bournemouth enjoying the better form of the pair matched with the away side’s terrible run of late we simply have to back the hosts.

8pm: Elche v Real Madrid – Real Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: La Liga TV & Premier Player

Bottom of La Liga, Elche are going to be in for a long night here, the hosts have won none of their nine league games so far and have never beaten Real, their best result was a 2-2 draw last season, all other games ended in a loss. They’ve lost three and drawn two of their last five while at the Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero are winless this season, drawing two and losing two, scoring three and conceding seven.

Los Blancos have won three and drawn two of their last five in all competitions while in La Liga have won four and drawn one and have won all five of their away league games this season, scoring 12 while conceding four. Real should walk this and we think we’re looking at a 1-2, 1-3, 0-3 scoreline so we’re taking Real to Win & Over 2.5 Goals.

8.15pm: Manchester United vs Tottenham – BTTS

TV: Amazon Prime

Since their 6-3 pounding at Man City, United have won three and drawn one but those wins came against Everton and Omonia Nicosia so nothing to really boast about. Last weekend they were held to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford by Newcastle. Their four home Premier League games this season have seen them winning two, drawing one and losing one, scoring six and conceding four with BTTS landing in three of those four games.

Spurs have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five in all competitions. In the league their record stands at four wins and one loss while on their league excursions have won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring seven and conceding six with BTTS landing in three. With those stats we have to go with Both Teams to Score.

8.15pm: Rangers v Dundee – Rangers to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Premier Sports 1

Four of Rangers’ last five games have seen Over 2.5 goals landing while all five of their most recent fixtures at Ibrox have also seen at least three goals. For Dundee three of their last five in all competitions have also seen at least three goals and Overs has also been witnessed in three of their last five on the road.

Rangers are very short odds to win here and there’s little doubt they won’t come out on top with a few goals to their name. Rangers to Win & Overs has to be the pick here.
