7.30pm: Schalke v Hoffenheim – Hoffenheim to Win 7.45pm: Tranmere v Crewe Alexandra – Tranmere to Win & Under 2.5 Goals 8pm: Rayo Vallecano v Getafe – Both Teams To Score 8pm: Strasbourg v Lille – Both Teams To Score
The weekend is here once more and Friday’s thrown up a glorious and varied fixture list taking in everything from Getafe to Tranmere. We’ve got you covered for all eventualities so let’s get stuck in with a four-fold acca starting in the Bundesliga with Schalke v Hoffenheim.
Schalke have not started well and they’re 16th after nine games with just one win all season. Hoffenheim, on the other hand, are just outside the European spots in 7th with 14 points.
The hosts have conceded four in their last three, scoring two as well, with only rock-bottom Bochum beaten this season. The visitors head here in slightly underwhelming form (two draws and a loss in their last three) but at the prices we have to be on a Hoffenheim win here.
Changing tack slightly now as we head to England’s League Two for a textbook midtable clash between Tranmere in 12th and Crewe Alexandra in 13th. With 12 games gone in the 4th tier, these two have 19 and 17 points respectively.
However, Tranmere are now in their stride and are on the charge. They’ve racked up four straight Wins to Nil after only taking three points twice from the previous eight league matches. The Alex have won one of their last eight, drawing five and losing two.
You’d expect goals to be at a premium here. There have been 11 goals in Crewe’s last seven games, an average of 1.57 per match with them scoring just five of them. They should struggle to breach Rovers’ defence who are eyeing their 5th clean sheet in a row
Tranmere have only scored more than two once in the league this season with Unders clicking in six of their last seven. Crewe are decent at the back and have only conceded more than two once this year so, at a very nice price, we’ll take Tranmere to Win & Under 2.5 Goals.
To warmer climes next for Rayo Vallecano v Getafe with the hosts sitting in 10th after eight games and their visitors in 16th. Getafe have won just twice this term, drawing one and losing five while Rayo have three wins, four losses and a draw.
Rayo’s best form has come on home soil with two wins and a loss compared to their poor away record which shows three consecutive losses before a draw and a win in the opening two weeks.
While goals might be lacking in our previous match, recent form is indicating quite a bit of goal-mouth action here. Both Teams have scored in Vallecano’s last five while it’s three in five for Getafe. Both Teams To Score, No Draw is a belting price but we’ll play it a little safer and go for Both Teams To Score.
We finish in France with Strasbourg v Lille which sees 14th hosting 7th. The home side finally recorded their first win of the season last time out, defeating Angers 3-2, with four losses and five draws proceeding that result.
Lille continued their remarkable streak of winning and then losing their eighth consecutive match on Sunday with a 1-0 triumph over high-flying Lens. That was the first time they had kept a clean sheet and also the first time both teams had not scored in their 10 games this term.
Strasbourg record high Both Teams to Score numbers as well with it clicking in five of their last six and eight of nine overall. Both Teams to Score should have a great chance.
