Arsenal to Win

Here’s something to consider. In the past, Arsenal are doing one of two things – they’re either playing their starting XI in the Europa League because this tournament has been a priority and thus exhausting them, or they’re playing their second string sides who are probably agitated at the fact they’re not in the Premier League lineups.

But this is different. If you’re not amongst the starters for the weekend, then you’re probably not deserving. What is now apparent is that fringe players feel they need to earn that right, and the mood around the place is conducive to winning.

The reason the Gunners hammered this same team last time out is not because they had better players – they’ve held that advantage before. It’s because they wanted to win and that’s good enough for me to put up Arsenal to Win.

Both Teams to Score? No

Bodo/Glimt are no slouches. They’ve turned Jose Mourinho more times than a photo op, but here’s the key to this Arsenal side – they’re not keeping the ball for the sake of it anymore.

Their defensive structure has actually been their biggest strength this year, and how they’re able to control the pace of the game rather than the game itself. Away from home, Arsenal have won 2-0 at Palace, 3-0 at Brentford and 3-0 at Bournemouth.

Against inferior opposition who’re coaxed into having more of the ball simply because they know the dimensions of the pitch, Arteta’s boys are punishing them. It’s Both Teams To Score? No.

Eddie Nketiah to Score Anytime

Half the battle with goalscorer bets is figuring out who’ll play to begin with. Ironically, Gabriel Jesus used to be the perfect one for this while he was at Man City, but he certainly won’t feature here.

Instead, Arteta opts for a nine not too dissimilar in how he handles himself – Eddie Nketiah. His fluid feet in the box and quick decision making pin him as a nightmare for opposing defenders who are still wondering how to play his first touch after he’s taken his second. Expect Nketiah to Score Anytime.

Kieran Tierney Anytime Assist

The best player in the first fixture between these sides, if anyone might feel like they’ve a chance to be in the first team, it’s Kieran Tierney. In games where full backs are given license to launch the attacks deep and have central midfielders cover over, Tierney has been lightning and his trademark pullbacks have been seen to great effect. We’ll round off with a Tierney Anytime Assist.
