For Thursday night’s European action we’ve gone through the best of the fixtures with our value-toothed comb and found a feisty five-fold Acca where we should see plenty of goalmouth action. All games below kick off at 8pm UK time and there’s plenty to get into here so let’s get straight into it with our first game – Man United taking on Omonia Nicosia at Old Trafford.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

Man United v Omonia

Man United to Win & Both Teams to Score
TV: BT Sport 1

United came in for a fair bit of criticism last week following their 2-3 win over the Cypriots on the road, they were a bit toothless in the first half and the home side were fired up to take on the supposed might of the Red Devils. We all know this isn’t the side of years gone by though and if you get in their faces you can really upset them. As the travelling side here Omonia will take some confidence in the fact that Erik ten Hag’s team have only won two of their four home fixtures this season, losing the other two, scoring six and conceding five with both Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals landing in three of those games.

The away side however have been pretty bad on their recent travels, winning just one on their last five excursions, losing the other four, scoring four and conceding six. There’s little doubt United will come out on top but that leaky defence which has conceded in nine of their last 10 at home means we have to back the visitors to score as well.

PSV v Zurich

PSV are very short odds to take the three points here and on just four points after three games they need to go for the win to keep leaders Arsenal in their crosshairs. The Dutch side are in great form, winning four of their last five, losing the other one, scoring 11 while conceding seven, while on home soil have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 13 and conceding six.

Zurich’s form is terrible with no wins over their last five fixtures, drawing three (losing one in extra-time) and losing two. Away from home they’ve only fared marginally better with one win, two draws (losing one in ET) and two losses but have at least scored seven while conceding nine. With both teams scoring and conceding aplenty both should score here but the hosts have the far superior form so we’re backing them to win as well.

22- ACCA CRACKER - NEW CAP 1024

Shamrock Rovers v Molde

Both Teams to Score
TV: BT Sport ESPN

Shamrock Rovers failed to manage a single shot on target in their 3-0 loss away to Molde last week in Norway and the Dublin side will be desperate to get something positive here in front of their home fans. Rovers are enjoying a pretty decent run of form, winning three, drawing one and losing one over their last five games while at the Tallaght Stadium have gone 21 games without tasting defeat and over their last five have scored 10 and conceded just three.

Molde have more or less sealed the deal in the Norwegian Eliteserien, for them to lose it now they’d need to lose all of their remaining games and that just isn’t happening. Over their last five matches they’ve won four and lost one, boasting the same record over their last five away jaunts, scoring a mammoth 15 goals while conceding six. Rovers’ impressive home form against a team in robust shape means we’ll surely see goals here; we’re backing Both Teams to Score for this one.

West Ham v Anderlecht

Both Teams to Score
TV: BT Sport 2

West Ham left it late last week in the reverse fixture, emerging with a 0-1 win thanks to a late Gianluca Scamacca goal but really they were lucky to get the win as the game had been very evenly matched. The Hammers have found some good form after what was a shaky start, winning four and losing one of their last five fixtures while at the London Stadium have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring nine and conceding five.

Anderlecht have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games in all competitions and share the same record on their travels, scoring six while conceding five. Should Silkeborg beat FCSB in Romania they’ll leapfrog them into second position so Anderlecht can’t really just sit back here and with the Hammers keeping just one clean sheet over their last 10 home clashes we have to go for the value in the BTTS market.

Ferencvaros v Crvena Zvezda

Over 2.5 Goals
TV: BT Sport App

Ferencvaros were 4-1 losers away to Crvena Zvezda last week and will be out for some revenge here, the home side still lead Group H with the away side bottom on three points but a win for them would see them grabbing top spot. The hosts have won three and lost two of their last five in all competition while at home have won all five of their most recent fixtures, scoring 15 and conceding three.

The away side come into this game in great shape, winning all five of their most recently played games while on the road have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 10 while conceding four. With both teams enjoying a rich vein of form and scoring plenty recently as well as top spot in the group being on the line we have to go with goals here; we’re backing Overs for a very handsome price.
