Monday 8pm: Nottingham Forest v Aston Villa
TV: Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League

Both Teams To Score

After a poor start to the season following a good summer transfer window (on paper), Villa are better at the back and results have picked up.

Steven Gerrard’s men are unbeaten in their last three against Manchester City, Southampton and Leeds.

Villa scored against City and Southampton but they somehow failed to net at Elland Road despite Leeds having ten men for almost a whole half.

Their issue isn’t creating chances, it’s about their front line putting them away. However, in Forest, they’ve got the perfect opponent to turn their fortunes around.

There has been an average of 3.4 goals per Forest’s game this season – and we’re expecting that trend to continue on Monday night.

Both Teams To Score has landed in Forest’s last two home games (in two 3-2 losses) so we’re hoping it’s three in a row.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Ollie Watkins To Have 1 Or More Shots On Target

We’ve discussed Forest’s leaky defence (they’ve conceded 21 goals in just eight Premier League games) so Villa hitman Ollie Watkins should have more than enough chances to test Dean Henderson.

Watkins has not been clinical at all this season, with the forward netting just once in eight games, so we’re not brave enough to back him to score.

Instead, we’re going with Watkins To Have 1 Or More Shots On Target. He averages 1.8 shots per game in the Premier League and we fancy him to get at least one effort on target.

Emiliano Buendia To Score Or Assist

Emiliano Buendia has had a tough time at Aston Villa since his record move to Villa Park. Gerrard doesn’t seem to know how to get the best out of Buendia and Philippe Coutinho but the Villa boss will be forced to play the Argentine on Monday with Leon Bailey likely out injured.

Buendia came on as as substitute during the Leeds draw and looked lively, with the attacking midfielder looking to play forward and create chances.

Buendia will be desperate to prove he deserves a regular starting spot and he’ll be up for it on Monday night. We like the look of Buendia To Score Or Assist against Forest’s dodgy defence.

Steve Cook To Be Shown A Card

You could genuinely back all of Forest’s back four to get booked and you’ve got a chance of making money (Steve Cook, Neco Williams, Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall are all on three bookings) but we’ve landed on Cook.

The centre-half, who will have to deal with the lively Watkins, has been carded in three of his last four games.

We expect Forest’s back line to be busy and Cook could be exposed. Cook To Be Shown A Card wraps up our Bet Builder!
