After all the fun and frolics of the Premier League throughout the afternoon a little European football is always welcome to keep the good times rolling into Saturday night. This weekend is no different and I’ve rustled up a fine four fold from across the continent on Saturday night starting in Italy.

Bologna host Sampdoria in a meeting of two of Serie A’s worst sides. Bologna are 17th, just outside the drop zone, and Samp are rock bottom with two points from eight games. I think we need to avoid the W-D-W markets given that these two have won just one game between them in their 16 so far this season.
While both have poor defences their attacks are even worse so Under 2.5 Goals could be the best play here. Neither are averaging a goal a game and this will surely be tight, cagey affair with both sides looking to avoid defeat once again.
8pm: Getafe v Real Madrid – Real Win & BTTS

Real Madrid were held last time out against Osasuna and they lost top spot to Barcelona as a result of that 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu. They’ll be looking to get back on track away at 14th placed Getafe on Saturday night.
While Getafe are in quite a lowly position they’ve found their shooting boots recently with six scored in their last three. Real’s defensive problems are well documented and, amazingly, they’ve conceded in all seven La Liga games this season.
We have to be on them to win, even if we were burned last weekend, and again the price on Real to Win and Both Teams to Score is too good to ignore. We’ll back Los Blancos to bounce back and concede along the way, as has happened in six of their seven league games this term.
8pm: Reims v Paris St-Germain – PSG Win & Over 2.5 Goals

To France next where Ligue 1 giants Paris St-Germain travel to Reims. You might not be surprised to hear that PSG are top of the table with eight wins and a draw from their nine games in 2022/23.
The gulf between these two is emphasised by the fact that the number of games Reims have won this season is the same number that PSG have failed to take all three points in. The hosts are 17th and will be putting up the barricades here.
It won’t be enough, of course, and we should expect a heavy PSG win. The price on PSG to Win and Over 2.5 Goals is decent enough, especially as the Parisians always have the ability to concede. Their firepower should see them over the line even if they do so, though.
8.30pm: Pacos Ferreira v Guimaraes – Guimaraes to Win
We finish in Portugal where Pacos Ferreira, who lie in the relegation zone, take on 9th-placed Vitoria Guimaraes. Pacos have picked up just two points from their eight games this season while Guimaraes have won three, drawn two and lost three.
Pacos are picking up a bit and the two points they’ve earned have come in their last two. But, given their shocking overall form, and that those results came against sides around them at the foot of the table, I think we simply have to be on Guimaraes to Win after they got a solid point against Benfica last time out.
