Brighton played great against Liverpool last week so you have to give them some credit, but defensively Liverpool look in a bit of trouble. Jurgen Klopp tried to tweak things against Rangers in Europe.

It’s one of those things where you could keep letting it slide when you’ve been so good for so long, but eventually you have to try something different if there are issues.

It was a good performance against Rangers, though that’s a game you’re expected to win. It was definitely a good performance though, and it will give them a bit of confidence going into the weekend.

It’s been disappointing all season. You could look at losing Sadio Mane in the summer and the way he led their press being a big absence but it can’t be just about one player.

In terms of Arsenal, I’ve always been in the Arteta camp. When he was going through difficulties he got a lot of stick, but I believed he was doing the right things – signing the right players, bringing the age of the squad down, and improving the players that were there already.

I was at the North London Derby last week and they look really good side now. There’s a lot of strengths to the team and squad, and they deserve to be where they are.

Both teams to score

This will be a huge test of where Arsenal are now though. It looks like one of those game from the old days and could go either way. My worry is that Liverpool are such a mixed bag at the moment.

You really don’t know who’s going to turn up from game to game. It’s so weird to say that. Usually, they’re so relentless and so consistent, but I do worry that Arsenal are brimming with confidence after this good start.

I could see this playing out as a draw, which would be a good result for Liverpool, but I’m not confident of it. I think there will be goals though as both teams have some real attacking threats.

Gabriel Jesus to have two or more shots on target

I love Gabriel Jesus for Arsenal. He’s been really great for them this season and with Liverpool giving up so many chances at the back he could cause them problems.

Mo Salah to have one or more shots on target

I’d hope Nunez scores for Liverpool, but Salah’s still the main goal threat and should be able to force Aaron Ramsdale to work on Sunday.

Trent Alexander-Arnold anytime assist

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s been getting a hard time of it defensively this season, but I still love watching him play going forward and he’s still a huge threat for Liverpool at the attacking end of the pitch.
