We’re heading to Italy for the first game of our Monday night double as fourth-placed Udinese travel to Verona, who sit 17th in Serie A.
Udinese are flying this season and they’ve won their last five league games, while also scoring 13 goals in that time. They come into this one on the back of their impressive 3-1 win at home against Inter Milan.
As for Verona, it’s been a pretty dismal start to the season. They’ve won just one of their seven Serie A games. They’ve also scored just three times in their last five fixtures.
We like the look of Udinese to Win, however, we’re going to chuck in Over 2.5 Goals to boost the odds.
The pressure to land the Over 2.5 Goals section of the bet is likely on Udinese due to Verona’s lack of attacking threat.
There have been three or more goals in five of Udinese’s seven Serie A games and while Verona struggle to score, their matches still average 2.7 goals per game due to their poor defensive record (they’ve conceded 13 times in seven Serie A fixtures).
8pm: Leicester v Nottingham Forest – Over 3.5 Goals
Next up is Leicester v Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, which sees bottom host second bottom.
Brendan Rodgers will be hoping the international break will have helped his Foxes side reset after a horrible start to the season.
Leicester are still searching for their first Premier League win but one thing has been guaranteed in their games – goals.
There has been an average of 4.6 goals per Leicester fixture and we’re expecting that trend to continue on Monday night.
Forest’s form isn’t much better than Leicester’s, with Steve Cooper’s men winning just one of their seven Premier League games.
However, their games have been entertaining, with Forest’s fixtures averaging 3.3 goals.
While Leicester are the favourites to win on Monday night, we’re staying away from predicting the outcome. Instead, we’re backing Over 3.5 Goals in what seems a smarter selection.
