West Ham to win
West Ham and Wolves can hardly have expected to find themselves in such a precarious position seven games into the new season.
West Ham have been unlucky in some cases – most notably in their 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest and their controversial 2-1 defeat at Chelsea – but the fact remains that they are responsible for Everton and Forest’s only wins of the season so far.
The Hammers look off the pace compared to their last two campaigns which saw them finish in the top seven on back-to-back occasions.
They urgently need a win to kickstart their league campaign and will fancy their chances against a struggling Wolves side.
Wolves, like West Ham, have managed just one win this season and have failed to produce the level of performance that saw them finish in the top ten last season.
They have taken just one point from three away games to date, giving West Ham the perfect opportunity to record their first home win of the season.

Under 2.5 goals
Despite their good form last season, Wolves still had problems scoring goals.
Bruno Lage’s side scored just 38 times in 38 games – the worst record of any team to avoid relegation last season.
Those goalscoring problems have continued into their current campaign. Wolves have already drawn a blank in four of their first seven games and have failed to score more than one goal in any game.
It is still early days, but they are currently the lowest-scoring team in the division along with Saturday’s opponents West Ham.
Just two of Wolves’ seven games this season have seen both teams find the back of the net.
West Ham, on the other hand, have also failed to score in four of their seven league games to date, although the Hammers have shown their goalscoring powers in Europe.
Their sole win this season came courtesy of a 1-0 win at Aston Villa and it wouldn’t be at all surprising if they won via the same scoreline on Saturday evening.
Jarrod Bowen to score anytime
One of the main reasons for West Ham’s failings in front of goal has been Jarrod Bowen’s slow start to the season.
The former Hull forward had enjoyed two brilliant campaigns on the bounce for the Hammers, scoring 20 Premier League goals over the course of two seasons.
He has yet to score in the Premier League this season but has scored twice in Europe and remains one of West Ham’s most dangerous options up front.
Bowen has scored three goals against Wolves in his Premier League career and can repeat the feat on Saturday to ignite his stuttering season.
Ruben Neves to have one or more shots on target
Ruben Neves is always reliable to pepper a goal with shots from just outside the box.
The Portuguese midfielder has already scored one goal from long range this season, putting Wolves in front against Newcastle with a screamer.
Neves has attempted nine shots in the league this season, the second-most of any Wolves player behind the injured Raul Jimenez.
He is likely to try his luck at least once against West Ham and is good value to find the target.
