Luton to Win

The first international break of the season always stings the most. You wait all summer for your club to return to action and just when things start to get going we’ve got to put up with a load of Nations League matches. But it’s all over now and Hull v Luton heralds the return of the top two tiers in England so let’s celebrate with a Bet Builder.

Hull are in dire form and have lost their last four, scoring one and conceding 11 in the process. They’re 20th in The Championship while their visitors are 11th with three wins, two draws and a loss in their last six matches.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

We have to factor in what work Hull have done on the training pitch in the last two weeks or so and they must surely improve, but Luton are in good shape and are growing into the season after going four games without a win at the start of the season.

Luton’s last three games have been at home but on the road they’ve won two, drawn one and lost one so there’s no worries there. Hull won their first three games on home soil but have lost the last two To Nil so everything is pointing towards a Luton Win here.

Both Teams To Score? No

Luton don’t have a world-beating defence but they did keep a clean sheet last time out against Blackburn. I’ve touched on Hull’s terrible run which has seen them go three games without a goal while conceding eight.

Hull had been quite handy going forward until then but they’re now averaging a goal a game and two conceded per match. Luton have scored 11 and conceded 10 in 10 but they’re hitting form now so we’ll back them to keep a clean sheet against the toothless Tigers and for Both Teams to Score? No.

Over 1.5 Goals

Recent form is indicating that we should see at least two goals in this match. There’s been two or more in each of The Hatters’ last seven Championship matches and eight for the hosts.

If we’re expecting Hull to fire a blank we’re looking at Luton’s recent scoring record and it’s not bad at all. They’ve managed two by themselves in four of their last six and, with Hull leaking like a sieve, Over 1.5 Goals feels a sensible bet.

Carlton Morris To Score First

We finish off with a dabble in the goal scorer markets and Carlton Morris To Score First is a really appealing price. He’s Luton’s top scorer by a mile with six, a whopping five more than anyone else in the squad.

Him anytime is a good play but hopefully we can eke out some more value by backing him to open the scoring. He’s opened the scoring in the last three Luton matches and is good value to do so again here.
