I’ve gone through Saturday’s League One and Two fixtures with a fine-tooth comb to try and unearth a winning Both Teams To Score acca at 3pm. Let’s kick off in the third tier with Charlton’s trip to Barnsley.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Barnsley v Charlton – Yes

Barnsley are ticking along quite nicely in 6th while Charlton find themselves underperforming in 14th after nine games. Charlton love a score draw and both teams have scored in all six of their most recent league games.

The Tykes are less prolific in this market with it clicking in two of their last four but there’s always plenty of goals when they play and there’s been at least one goal in each of their games this season. With Charlton’s red-hot form in this market it has to be Both Teams To Score here.

Bristol Rovers v Accrington – Yes

This Bristol Rovers v Accrington clash is another where one side has caught the eye in the Both Teams To Score markets. That side is the hosts who have, frankly, been absolutely bonkers this year.

Joey Barton’s Pirates have scored 13 and conceded 19 in just nine matches while Stanley’s numbers read 10 and 12. Both sides have netted in four of the hosts’ last five but just one for the visitors over the same timeframe. With 15 goals in Rovers’ last three games we’re backing the mayhem to continue and for Both Teams To Score.

Peterborough v Port Vale – Yes

Peterborough’s wheels have come off in sensational style of late as they head into this clash with 13th-placed Port Vale on the back of four straight League One losses. The Posh are still 10th and will be looking for a win against this newly-promoted side to get them back on track.

Both Teams have scored in two of Peterborough’s last four in the league while it’s clicked in all three of Vale’s most recent matches. A strong Posh XI thrashed Tottenham’s kids in the Papa John’s during the week so we’ll hope that shot of confidence can inspire them to net as Both Teams Score again.

Barrow v Leyton Orient – Yes

Barrow and Leyton Orient occupy the top two positions in League Two and have scored 31 goals between them in their combined 18 games so far this term. They’re pretty good at the back as well with The O’s shipping fewer than a goal every other game and Barrow conceding nine in nine.

The question surely is whether Barrow can breach Orient’s outstanding defence, who head north on the back of three straight league clean sheets. But with The Bluebirds notching in their last eight in all competitions we’ll back them to find a way and for Both Teams to Score.

Hartlepool v Gillingham – No

We finish with two of the worst attacking outfits in the whole professional pyramid, League Two’s Hartlepool hosting Gillingham. These two are 23rd and 22nd in the fourth tier and are worthy of those lowly positions.

The Gills have scored two goals in nine league games, conceding 11 along the way. Pools have scored six in nine but, worryingly, have conceded 17 as well. While their defences are shocking they’re pathetic going forward and combined don’t average a goal every other game. It’ll be a very minor miracle if both net so it’s Both Teams To Score? No here.
