Football Accumulator tips: Tuesday’s 18/1 play from the Papa John’s trophy

Fancy any or all of these four to score in the EFL?

Tuesday Acca EFL

Tuesday night’s football has the second Group Stage games of the EFL Trophy lined up for us. There’s a total of 20 fixtures happening across England so we’ve gone through all 20 and found four with the best value picks for a very tasty Tuesday Acca. Let’s get straight into it.

An accumulator with all FOUR of these picks pays at approximately 18/1 with Paddy Power. CLICK HERE TO ADD TO YOUR BETSLIP

7pm: Sheffield Wed v Burton – BTTS? No

We have an all League One clash starting us off here when Sheffield Wednesday host Burton Albion at Hillsborough. The hosts are in decent form, they’re currently fourth in the league standings while poor old Albion are bottom of the pile on just one point after their eight league games. Wednesday have won three of their last five fixtures in all competitions, losing the other two while at home have won four of their last five fixtures on home turf, losing the other one, scoring 11 while conceding just two, keeping four clean sheets in the process.

Burton have won just one of their last five fixtures, losing all four of the others and away from home have drawn one and lost four, scoring eight while conceding 15. It’s hard to see anything other than an Owls win, but the odds are quite short for a home win. Instead we’re looking at that impressive home run of clean sheets and we see the hosts adding to their tally. We don’t think Both Teams will Score in this one.

7pm: Swindon v Plymouth – Plymouth to Win

League Two’s Swindon Town face a stern test here taking on a Plymouth side who have gone undefeated over their last five fixtures and are third in League One; the hosts are 11th a division lower. The Robins have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five matches in all competitions and at home share the same results, scoring seven while conceding five.

The Pilgrims, as stated already, have gone five undefeated of late, winning four and drawing one, winning that one on penalties, scoring a very healthy 10 while conceding just three. Away from home they’ve played four away games this season, winning two and losing two, scoring eight while conceding nine. While the host’s home scoring record is decent we cannot dismiss the run the visitors are enjoying and we’re getting some very decent odds here for Plymouth to take the victory.

7pm: Tranmere v Bolton – Both Teams To Score

The wheels have really come off Tranmere’s season of late; of their last five fixtures they’ve won just one and lost all four of the others, the silver lining is that they’ve at least been scoring in those defeats, scoring five over those five games while conceding eight.

At Prenton Park they’ve won two and lost three of their last five matches, scoring eight while conceding six.Bolton have won all three of their most previous fixtures but lost both of their prior games, scoring 10 while conceding eight. Away from home they’ve only played four games thus far this campaign, winning one, drawing two and losing two, scoring three while conceding three as well. With both teams scoring and conceding plenty of late, the obvious choice is going with the Both Teams to Score option.

7pm: Stevenage v Wycombe – Stevenage to Win

League Two side Stevenage come into their Group 12 match in the better form of the pair, they’ve won four and lost one of their five most recently played games, scoring six while conceding three. At the Lamex Stadium they’re enjoying an incredible run of eight wins on the bounce, scoring seven and conceding just two over their last five played there.

Wycombe Wanderers have won just one of their last five games, drawing three (winning one on penalties) and losing one, scoring four goals while conceding five. Looking at away games only, the Chairboys have won two, drawn one and lost two, scoring seven and conceding eight. Both teams are scoring plenty of late but we cannot dismiss the host’s good form and their record of clean sheets; the value pick is Stevenage to Win.
