Sunday night is going to be an absolute humdinger with some European royalty facing off against each other in league action. We have the Madrid derby with Atletico playing host. In Italy, defending Serie A champions AC Milan will be entertaining league leaders Napoli. But kicking us off here we have Lyon hosting PSG at the Groupama Stadium. Let’s find some value picks.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Lyon vs PSG, Sunday 7.45pm

PSG to Win & Both Teams to Score.

Lyon are third in Ligue Un with 13 points after their seven league games played so far. PSG top the list on 19 points after their seven league clashes. The hosts have won two, drawn one and lost two of their five most previously played games; we’ve seen Both Teams to Score landing in four of those five. On home soil they’ve won all four of their games played there so far this season, scoring 13 and conceding three with both teams to score (BTTS) landing in three and Over 2.5 Goals in all four.

PSG have won nine and drawn one over their 10 competitive games so far this season and of their last five have won all of them, scoring 12 while conceding two. Away from home they’ve won all five of their games so far, scoring a very healthy 21 goals while conceding two.

Les Gones have beaten PSG twice on home turf over their last six meetings in all competitions played there, one ended level with the Parisians winning three. Five of those six saw BTTS landing and we see that trend continuing here. All that being said, PSG have started the season in a higher gear so it’s PSG to Win & BTTS that has the value.

AC Milan vs Napoli: Sunday, 7.45pm

Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals.

Both sides go into this game level on 14 points at the top of the Serie A table with Napoli leading thanks to a +9 goal difference compared to +6 for Milan. The hosts have gone undefeated over their eight games played so far in all competitions, winning five and drawing three, of their last five the Rossoneri have won three and drawn two. At the San Siro, they’ve won all four of their Serie A games played there, scoring 12 and conceding five with both teams to score (BTTS) occurring in three and Overs in three as well.

Napoli have won six and drawn two of their eight games across all fixtures and of their last five have won four and drawn one, scoring 11 and conceding three. Away from home, they’ve also played just four games, winning three and drawing one, scoring 10 and conceding three.

With both teams in such ripe goal-scoring form we just have to look at goals here. Both teams to score coupled with an Overs 2.5 goals bet has some mighty value.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid, Sunday 8pm

Over 5.5 Cards.

Atletico haven’t gotten off to their best possible starts in La Liga, they’ve currently down in seventh after five league games played on 10 points. Defending league champions, Real Madrid have hit the ground running though taking a maximum 15 points from their five league clashes.

The Colchoneros have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five fixtures in all competitions and share the same results over their five La Liga games played so far. They’ve only played three home games so far this campaign, winning two and losing one, scoring six and conceding four.

Los Blancos have won all eight of their competitive games so far this season, scoring a total of 22 goals while conceding five with Over 2.5 goals landing in six of those games. The away side have played four away games this season, winning all four, scoring 12 while conceding three with both teams to score (BTTS) landing in three and ‘Overs’ occurring in all four.

Three of the last five meetings here at the Wanda Metropolitano have ended level with both sides winning one each and while Real have started stronger we cannot simply dismiss how good that Atletico defence is.

The booking stats really stood out to us here too; over the last five games played in the red half of the city we saw, a total of 34 cards, so that’s an average of 6.8 per game. If we take the current line of Over 5.5 cards, we’re getting plenty of value here for what should be yet another fiery Madrid derby.
