Man City to win

The only thing that catches up with Man City is fixture congestion. And that’s primarily due to the fact they don’t get consistency in their XIs. Pep utilises a lot of different players, don’t get me wrong. But he normally does it to cater for certain opposition, unforced.

However, due to recent events, City have had some time to get rest into the legs of the players who need it. Wolves’ lack of European football might help them in these situations, but City will have only had two games in four days as opposed to three games in seven.

City are quite evenly spread in terms of chance creation. It goes from anyone – Cancelo, Walker, Gundogan, Grealish, Foden, Mahrez – actually, this squad is disgusting.

But against sides like Wolves who don’t struggle with keeping teams from stretching them left-to-right, City will look to a higher power. That higher power is kind of ginger and red-faced, which means a lot to me with my heritage.

KDB’s importance is overstated from a consistency standpoint. City could win a lot of games without him, but these ones in particular bring him to the fore.

Erling Haaland to Score First

Farmers league, they said. I was tempted to find the location of each stadium and combine the distances from those to the nearest farm and do a comparison against the other four leagues in Europe.

Just to truly put that notion to bed, but then I realised it was a massive waste of time when I could simply just back Erling Haaland to score goals.

And while I’d typically go anytime here, the fact I think there’ll be limited goals scored means I might as well take him to score first for the increase in price.

Wolves have scored in three of their six Premier League games so far, don’t get me wrong.

But they’ve yet to score more than once at all, and that’s when they’re actively trying to catch teams on the counter.

They’re incredibly limited in their forward scope now, and that might aid them long-term, but in these instances, it’s almost impossible to see them scoring.
