We’re in Italy on Monday night to check out what Serie A has to offer – and first up is AC Monza v Atalanta.
Monza are Serie A debutants and they’ve struggled in the top flight this season. The’ve lost all four of their games and conceded 11 goals in the process.
As for Atalanta, they’re still unbeaten after four fixtures (won three, drawn one) and they sit in fourth place in the league.
All signs point to an away win, however, the odds aren’t good enough to get behind. We’re going to go with Atalanta to Win and Over 2.5 Goals.
Atalanta come into this one on the back of their 3-1 win against Torino, while Over 2.5 Goals has landed in every Serie A game for Monza so far this season.
5:30pm: Salernitana v Empoli – Salernitana to Win
Next up is Salernitana v Empoli, which sees 11th host 14th.
Both sides have one win between them in eight Serie A games this campaign. Salernitana have won one, drawn two and lost one, while Empoli have been draw specialists, with three of their four fixtures ending level.
Empoli are struggling to find the back of the net this season and they’re 18th in Serie A in goals scored per game (0.5 goals).
We’re expecting that trend to continue on Monday night so we’re siding with Salernitana to Win.
The home side are scoring an average of 1.3 goals per game and their front man Boulaye Dia has netted in his last two games.
It could be a tight affair but we fancy the home side to just get over the line.
7:45pm: Torino v Lecce – Torino to Win and Over 2.5 Goals
Finally, we’re looking at Torino v Lecce.
The home side have won two, drawn one and lost one of their opening four games, while Lecce are still searching for their first Serie A win of the season.
We like the look of a Torino win, however, we’re adding in Over 2.5 Goals. There have been three or more goals in four of Torino’s last five games. Let’s hope that continues on Monday!
