Friday 8pm: Norwich v Millwall

Millwall Win/Draw Double Chance

Friday night’s Championship offering could be many things, but one thing it’s certain to be is a stark contrast in styles. Norwich have had a disappointing start to life back in The Championship and are 17th with four points from four games, losing two and drawing one before finally winning last time out.

Millwall, the visitors to Carrow Road on Friday, are flying by comparison. Gary Rowett’s got The Lions up to 5th on the back of two wins one draw and one loss. These two teams go about their business in very different ways with The Canaries ranking highly in possession and passes per match while also averaging 6.5 shots on target per game but only converting one a match at the moment.

They’ve been wasteful while The Wall, who have had half as many Shots On Target, have scored three more goals than Norwich (seven), rate 3rd in the league for interceptions (12 per game) and thrive off accurate crosses (over six a match). Based on all this I can see a smash and grab result for Millwall coming a mile off here.

As such we’re getting a decent price on Millwall Win and The Draw Double Chance. Both of their wins have come at home but they have taken a point on the road last time out thanks to TWO stoppage time own goals from Swansea. I can see Norwich pinging it about with over 70% possession before Millwall pick their pocket and hit them on the counter for fun.

Over 2.5 Goals

It should be pretty entertaining on Friday night as well with a few goals flying about. The Lions have seen 14 goals over their four Championship games this season, an average of 3.5 per match with Over 2.5 Goals clicking in their last two.

For the hosts the numbers are a little more modest, but that’s partly down to their poor finishing. They’ve seen nine goals at 2.25 per game with Overs landing in their last two as well. Over 2.5 Goals feels like a great play here.

Over 6.5 Norwich Corners

As a result of their masses of possession, Norwich are averaging 65.6% over their four games which is the 3rd highest in the league, they’re racking up loads of corners with a season-low of seven in an away loss on the opening day. Since then they’ve had nine, 11 and eight in the following three games, an average of 8.75 per match.

I think we’re getting a really good price on Norwich to Have Over 6.5 Corners and I suspect you’ll get paid if you go for a higher benchmark as well. I’d avoid the Over/Under Total Corners market for this match as Millwall are a little unpredictable and Norwich have only conceded five all season.

Danel Sinani to Score Or Assist

In a team lacking in cutting edge so far this season Danel Sinani has emerged as Norwich’s most potent attacking weapon despite hardly playing. The Luxembourg winger has scored one and set up one in just 106 minutes of action this season – that’s 50% of all their goals this term.

Both of those goal involvements came on Tuesday against Huddersfield in their 2-1 win, his first start of the season, and surely he’s nailed on to keep his place on Friday. If he starts, Danel Sinani to Score Or Assist could be the best play in the goal scorer markets with Millwall sharing them about and Norwich, generally, misfiring.

If you fancy a flyer then Murray Wallace offers stonking value. He is yet to net but the centre back as an absolute menace from set pieces, has racked up an xG of 1.4 already and is averaging just shy of three attempts per match.
